Genesis Section FAR too long
[edit]Time for a purge... its un-necessarily long for the 'importance' of the material it covers. 72.218.136.173 (talk) 17:33, 4 September 2010 (UTC)
Name
[edit]I noticed his name is a combination of the names of the 2 last Japanese holdouts of World War II, who surrendered in 1974 - Hiroo Onoda and Teruo Nakamura. Is this just a coincidence? - 121.208.89.240 (talk) 07:56, 30 November 2008 (UTC)
- Well, Nakamura is a common name; see Nakamura (surname). As for "Hiro", the producers have stated that it's for Hiroshima. EVula // talk // ☯ // 21:14, 9 December 2008 (UTC)
- Then why isn't his name written with the same kanji for HIROshima? (広) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.228.250.145 (talk) 14:49, 2 August 2009 (UTC)
It's also the name of the guy who translated Pokemon into English... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.61.177.16 (talk) 16:16, 11 December 2009 (UTC)
- It's also the name of a minor character in "Videodrome". TREKphiler any time you're ready, Uhura 23:33, 12 April 2010 (UTC)
hiros time stoping power
[edit]i have questions sense Hiro slows down time so much and then he moves everthing around in that time frame wouldn't that mean that he should be breaking thoose things because the speed he is moving at and also if Hiro can telaport others with him does that mean that he could also bring others into slowed time frames —Preceding unsigned comment added by Voltageman78 (talk • contribs) 00:00, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
- I don't think we can answer these without speculation. It's a tv-show about super-powers and so physics need not actually apply for "plot-tastic" fun. All I can say is that he has been seen to touch things without breaking them and we haven't seen him slow time with another person, unless that person has the same power (i.e. Peter) or one that can counteract it (i.e. Daphne)-- WORMMЯOW 08:45, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
- What Worm said. Also keep in mind that if he followed all the rules of physics, he'd need to smash his way through frozen solid air and leave huge vaccuums behind him to be filled (probably with a loud bang at the very least) when he restarts time.93.96.183.33 (talk) 19:52, 18 March 2009 (UTC)
Time alterations section
[edit]Is a list of every instance where Hiro altered time integral to the article? I don't think it's necessary to detail every time he's changed time to illustrate that he can alter time. I propose that the list be cut down or removed altogether, as the article already includes information regarding his ability to change time. ~QuasiAbstract {talk/contrib} 14:46, 2 February 2010 (UTC)

Cruft!
[edit]There's a staggering amount of WP:FANCRUFT in this article, to the point where it's basically a fan tribute page rather than an encyclopedic article. The Character Synopsis section is a retelling of the series from Hiro's POV, making it a WP:DERIVATIVE. This is overkill and possibly WP:COPYVIO. The whole section should be deleted. Just Another Cringy Username (talk) 18:12, 1 July 2022 (UTC)
- I agree that most, if not all of that, should be removed. It's unsourced for one thing, and is just an absolutely unnecessary level of detail. - Aoidh (talk) 05:42, 2 July 2022 (UTC)
