Part 2

[edit]

How about we start a part 2 for hinata, kiba & shino. For hinata lets start at the last paragraph of Hinata & Naruto. Explains how & what happens in the HC series.

Well, we might have to wait till this part of Part 2 gets started because this is the first time Hinata will be truly "featured" since it began.

Mistakes in the Article

[edit]

Would someone mind citing the point in canon where it is stated that Hinata was disowned? Going over the series (both manga and anime), I have found no evidence to this end, and the article implies that it occurs during Kurenai's meeting with Hiashi as revealed in her flashback during Hinata's fight with Neji; no such thing happens during that scene.

Also, a review of traditional Japanese family structure is suggested for those writing this and the other Hyuuga articles. The clan isn't as "divided" as many American fans seem to think, nor is there a binary division between "main" and "branch" housebut what is the accual and practical difference.Neji Hyuuga points that out in this series.

Nope. Being disowned would be Hiashi disavowing her -- effectively saying "you are not/are no longer my daughter".

-- The 'disowned' comment has been removed from the article.

-Someone has replaced the 'disowned' comment at the end of the section on the Bikochu filler arc. If no-one has any objections, I will remove it.

WOAH!!!!

where did "Hinata also marries Naruto by the end of the manga. They have three children, named Hikaru, Haru, and Kio. Kishimoto loves this pairing, as does the filler team," come from?

seriouly, i'm a huge naruhina fan, but this is the very first that i've heard of this? can anyone back this up? if not, as much as i love the idea, i'm going to remove this.

morgannia

ummm . . .nevermind, some else did it for me . .. thanks morgannia

Yeah, as much I am a NarutoxHinata fan, speculative or nonsense stuff like that doesn't belong on here. Hence me getting rid of it. NeoChaosX [talk | contribs] 18:08, 28 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

There is one big huge mistake in this article!!! You guys forgot one arc!!! Naruto and hinata and kiba had to find somekind of thief!!!!! That was one of those naruhina moments!!! THEY ARE HAVING A PICNIC!!!!! It's soooooo cute!!! : ) Narutojutsumaster

-That arc lasted 2 episodes, and Hinata basically did nothing in it worth noting on the page. We don't add things because they're 'cute'.

On the Hinata being disowned comment, maybe the person was talking about when Hiashi handed Hinata's training over officially to Kurenai and focused his attenton on Hanabi when it came to training the official heiress. I haven't seen that part in awhile, but I believe that I am accurate. Written by : *Kepy* —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.64.39.86 (talk) 06:21, 17 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Love Ointment #9

[edit]

When the series started, Hinata was disowned by her father and Naruto was considered the lowest of the low. So if they were older and these facts stayed the same, Hinata would probably take Naruto’s last name because of being disowned and Naruto’s lower status would disgrace the clan. But now that Naruto has defeated Neji, saved the Village of the Leaf and Hinata is now accepted by both clans, (Father and Neji) would Naruto change his last name because the Hyuga clan has more honor and prestige despite his family’s role in the 3rd saving the village. (Based on Naruto’s family not being of any importance until him.) Discuss? MajinPalgen 20:10, 9 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

... huh? Are you implying that Naruto will marry Hinata at some point? --Pentasyllabic 21:37, 9 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I think they've mistaken the "talk" page for something akin to a forum. This isn't the first time this sort of thing happens. MajinPalgen, Wikipedia talk pages are purely for discussion concerning work on the article. You may want to take your question to http://www.livejournal.com/community/naruhina/ ;) --AceMyth 21:49, 9 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

So then... Shouldn't someone delete this section seeing as it was brought up in a manner against the rules, and ended on the fourth post?
not really against the rules, but rather against guidelines. In either case removing others' comments is against policy. – Someguy0830 (Talk | contribs) 07:16, 4 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Plus this can prevent further talk... - 68.228.33.74 05:21, 29 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

...but to answer your question, Hinata would probably take Uzumaki since the couple take the man's name. --24.56.197.128 22:07, 15 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

She won't have to decide, since she's not going to marry Naruto. She may have stalked him and watched him, but she never comforted him. She never saved him from his lonliness. He had to wait for Iruka, Sakura, Sasuke, and Kakashi to come along.

Only time will tell if that will apply or not. The article in its current state says it best: Naruto originally thought she was a weirdo. Besides, Hinata has stinging issues with confidence. And by the way, please sign your comments by putting down 4 tildes at the end of each one. Thank you. --Juigi Kario (Charge! * My crusades) 07:21, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Opinions are opinions, and we don't know what Hinata and Naruto have in the future. Right now, Kishimoto has barely revealed any thing when it comes to Hinata. We can only wait and see, and I know that it is your opinion, but opinion is not fact. Not saying your wrong to feel as you do. I am just saying your justificatin for why they may not be together is kind of irrelevant. ~~Kepy~~ —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.64.39.86 (talk) 06:30, 17 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Trivia clean up

[edit]

There seems to be a lot of excess information in the Trivia section that analyzes the role of Hinata in the series, which seems to me more like stuff meant for a fan site, not a factual encyclopedia. I really don't think it belongs in the article to begin with, so I suggest either reducing some of the bullet points or removing them entirely. We could also apply this to the trivia section of the other Naruto characters, since those also are collection a lot of useless observations about roles and archetypes rather than actual, interesting trivia. NeoChaosX 06:41, 15 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Chūnin Exam Arc

[edit]

This section needs to be rewritten--it seems like it should be on Naruto's page rather than Hinata's. Most of it talks about his changing opinions of her rather than her own growth as a character, unless we're trying to imply that growth is totally dependent on Naruto, which is really not the case. Veil of Shadows 17:26, 22 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, if you look deep into the series, it is actually easy to see that there is ver little character interaction between herself and Naruto, so why suggest that it was ONLY because of Naruto that helped her gain self-confindence? What is "SELF-confidence" when the implications point to her relying on someone else's confidence instead of her own? Observation 06:07, 23 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move

[edit]

Hyūga HinataHinata Hyūga – As pointed out in Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Anime_and_manga#Naruto_character_article_titles, the current names for articles about Naruto characters are inconsistent with the names used for other anime characters (Naruto characters use Japanese order for names, while most other anime characters have their name in Western order), as well not following the naming guidelines in WP:MOS-JA.

What's with the fanservice pic?

[edit]

Why are we using Image:Hinata005.jpg? It really doesn't illustrate much of anything, it's just random fanservice. Yes, I'm aware WP:NOT censored, but my concern is really that it's a needless extra image with no demostrative quality. --tjstrf 08:25, 3 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You know, I never really thought about it before. Aside from fanservice, it does seem somewhat pointless. Scatch that. It does illustrate the goofy magic-girl theme comparision. No harm in it staying for that reason. To make it a bit more demonstrative, tacking on a similar Sailor Moon transformation for comparion might be good. – Someguy0830 (Talk | contribs) 08:28, 3 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, the whole "Magical Hinata" thing seems like the sort of fancrufty between-series comparison we're supposed to avoid. I was going to delete that as well. --tjstrf 08:42, 3 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Well, I'm not terribly concerned for keeping it, and the comparison is mostly OR anyway. Removing it would be fine. No fanservice for readers! Ha!. – Someguy0830 (Talk | contribs) 22:21, 3 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

What was it a picture of; can you give a detailed description?

Forest fo Death incident.

[edit]

Does the line about Gaara killing the rain ninja because they looked at him the wrong way really make sense? Surely they actually attacked him first. Some nasty look!

No, he wanted to kill them because they looked at him wrong. They attacked after he said that. – Someguy0830 (T | C) 05:57, 30 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
hey this is a page about hinata not gaara ok. i dont read and memorize all this so i can get to the end and read about gaara, ok i come here to memorize all this because i love hinata, yes i am compleatly insane ok but i dont care. when u get drunk and halusenate that someone at a party is hinata and then try to get off with them its love 4 hinata.
Wow, there's a way to get people to take you seriously. Treima 00:49, 9 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The beef was with a line in this article, so the discussion should be here, that's just common sense.

trivia

[edit]

What happened to it? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.189.175.39 (talkcontribs)

It's been integrated into the rest of the article, per the suggestions in WP:TRIVIA. If you look at the intro and the Background sections, you'll notice the points that were in the trivia section are now a part of those sections. 1) Please post messages on discussion pages using proper grammar and spelling, or at least as close to it as you can get.
2) It's just basic character design. Like the spirals on Naruto's outfit and Ino's pre-time-skip body bandages, the "fish nets" have no given significance at this point.

I requested it to be protected from unregistered users. IP users were constantly vandalizing this article with silly or just plain bad edits. If the vandalism begins again when the article becomes unprotected within the coming week, I'll ask for it to be re-protected.

On the other note, you are likely trying to add information which belongs at the Plot of Naruto: Shippuden article. Such edits are reverted as soon as they are seen. You are wasting your time. Sima Yi 23:53, 2 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Abilities and the Byakugan picture.

[edit]

The Byakugan picture in the artic is valuable to the Abilities section, and is certainly not pointless as someone else suggested. It clearly shows Hinata using her trademark Byakugan ability, which some readers who are not fans of thes series may not understand. This picture helps them with that. Please do not remove it again unless you can come up with a credible argument on the talk page. Thanks. Sima Yi 00:48, 9 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

We have wikilinks for that, which lead to places with pictures. — Someguy0830 (T | C) 00:55, 9 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Decrease in quality of the article

[edit]

What's wrong with this article? Last time I checked it, there was much more information and it was much more valuable information-wise. It doesn't matter if something isn't important! That's not the point of an encyclopedia. An encyclopedia details extensive and detailed information in relation with an article so that others can get detailed information regarding that said topic.

Someone should work out a final, mastered version of the article with as much good information as possible and lock it unless someone suggests (as said about the vandals earlier). A few facts from the trivia could be removed, but not too many. This article should also contain a more extensive/detailed profile of Hinata's personality (is there a psychologist around?).

I think a summary of Hinata's role in the arcs and storylines should be drafted, revised and posted (as there used to be on the article). Also, some of the photos and details were removed because they "Weren't important" or were just "gratitous fan service"? Yeah... someone should put those photos back in right away. Maybe you could get a fan to do something about this. You know, tell him what to put in and what to leave out etc.etc.

Sorry if I may seem demanding or bossy... just want that old article back (the one that helped me make that essay about characterization in creative writing). User:Gabriel Texidor

See Talk:Naruto#Too much emphasis on plot. The changes were made to make the article fit Wikipedia's Manual of Style, specifically on writing about fiction. NeoChaosX (talk, walk) 03:19, 13 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm afraid I can't agree much on that. Still, they're the rules I guess... although the admins should tweak 'em a little bit. But there's just one itchy: there's no summary of anything on here. Just a short summary of Hinata's crush on Naruto and her abilities. Where's the plot summary? Plot participation summary? By the way, does Wikimedia Commons have pictures of Hinata? Just curious on whether if people are interested in more pictures, they know where to look, you understand... --User:Gabriel Texidor 03:43, 13 June 2007 (UTC)

I have seen some of the other character articles, and I must say that this one is severely lacking when it comes to factual information and real talk about Hinata. Hinata isn't shown much, but some of the things I have seen on this article is just ridiculous. What happened to an intellectual discussion about something we all enjoy?? Which is Naruto, particularly, Hinata. I just want to get some real info because I have missed a few mangas and episodes, and I wanna know that the information I am reading is correct. I may as well just look up a forum if I want this kind of information, or maybe I will just look up the mangas.

what happened to the pic?

what happened to the pic with JUST Hinata? 1. that was a good pic and 2. you could actually see most of her because of her pose unlike the current team pic. could someone put it back please?

I'll be reviewing this: hoping to finish within the next few days. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 10:25, 4 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I apologize for the delay, as I have been busy with real-life matters over the past week or so. Your patience is appreciated as I will continue to be busy for a while, but I can give a preliminary review here. The sources check out and the article is adequately referenced. It's pretty comprehensive for the sources available. This is not a point against but rather a suggestion: if possible, is it feasible to include information about how Mizuki and Sheh were cast as Hinata, if there are sources that discuss it? Also, does Japanese commentary on Hinata exist? If they don't exist, then it's fine, but I just want this to be clarified. As for writing, I haven't noticed any writing issues thus far. The image of Sheh is freely licensed, and the fair-use images are appropriately used. The rest of the review will follow soon. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 01:52, 13 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If you checked the Boruto film article, you'll notice we couldn't get a single critical response from a Japanese newspaper. Actually, we got one but it was removed as it was a preview. About the actors, I haven't been able to find anything because probably because the character didn't start as that important (see Sasuke's article in comparison).Tintor2 (talk) 15:31, 13 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Narutolovehinata5: Found and added something about the English actress to the article.Tintor2 (talk) 00:32, 15 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • The above comments are noted, so here's the rest of the review. Apart from what I've raised above, the sources check out and appear to verify the information in the article. A lot of the information is offline so I'll assume good faith on their veracity. All references are working, and I haven't detected any copyright violations. The rest of the GAN criteria check out, so I'm happy to say that I'm passing this. Congratulations for the good work @Flowerpiep and Tintor2:, WP:DYKN is that way.
