"Hildegard von Bingen" Prize?
[edit]"The award is named after the medieval abbess Hildegard von Bingen."
Why is this prize named for Hildegard von Bingen? She wrote about theology, philosophy, medicine, composed beautiful music, and corresponded with great minds of her time, but was not considered a journalist so far as I understand it. Please let us know why this prize was named for her. I curiously thank you for your time, Wordreader (talk) 01:39, 24 October 2022 (UTC)
- PS: Please do not misconstrue my question. While I am all for nurturing journalistic achievement (and many need support at this populist time), I am puzzled why it was named for HvB and not, say Mary Ann Shadd Cary or Maria Ressa or any number of others. Thank you again, Wordreader (talk) 02:11, 24 October 2022 (UTC)
- PPS: Did the award stop after 2018 or has the article not been kept up to date? Thanks once again, Wordreader (talk) 02:21, 24 October 2022 (UTC)
