I think the notability thing is ridiculous here. As the article states, Highlands Sanctuary administers almost 5K acres in six counties, and is adding to them annually, as well as operating Serpent Mound, which is quite well-known in the area. No, there haven't been many newspaper or magazine articles about them. I think that's a poor test of worthiness of an article. jaknouse (talk) 04:44, 10 March 2011 (UTC)
- To prove notability, one needs to add third-party RSs that significnalty discuss this org; not affiliated press releases or bare mentions. Whether Jaknouse likes it or not, WP:N is the policy and WP:ORG is the guideline. Per ORG, "An organization is generally considered notable if it has been the subject of significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources." And RSs need not be newspaper or magazines, though those often discuss this sort of group. Books, academic journals, etc., can also serve the purpose. Novaseminary (talk) 01:20, 11 March 2011 (UTC)
- Huh. I just realized two of the counties on the map became the same color when I converted it to gif. I'll correct that later.jaknouse (talk) 06:37, 10 March 2011 (UTC)
