Regarding "Notability"

[edit]

Title supllied above by: Ludvikus (talk) 00:32, 29 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I note that almost by definition a prize for a "first book" will not be useful to establish notability, unless other works follow., DGG (talk) 00:11, 29 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What's the point, or relevance of your "note" here? Ludvikus (talk) 00:34, 29 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I think this is in regards to the number of red links in the list of recipients. It is a fair point and it is one I had considered while reformatting the list. My thought was that the winning of an international level award would go a lot towards a person's notability, but I could be wrong of course! Ashanda (talk)

This is clearly an uncontroversial move: there is no such thing as the "Herbert Baxter Adams" prize.
The full name of the prize is: "Herbert Baxter Adams Prize."
