Bugge Family

[edit]

As a self-criticism I could note that perhaps this page is a little over the top. It covers family relations all the way to the Bugge family and does not focus solely on the Willoughbys. This would be for the reason that there's too few generations of Bugges to create pages on them, even with those generations being so old and there being so little about them. I could still split the content into a "Bugge family" page linked to the Henry Willoughby page. Maybe this would have been a more traditional way of presenting things on Wikipedia. The reason I never went in such a direction would have to be that the Willoughbys and the Middletons could have common relations here and I'd be unsure that they'd like people writing about family members at the base of their titles of nobility. I don't know their traditions and explanations and would not want to interfere with their creed. This could also apply to other families like the Eresbys. In such a way I ended up leaving everything together this way. This so that I can perhaps help those that don't have the nobility ancestry, but still want to know about the Willoughbys and their Bugge origin. Also Bugge should have evolved into Burgess in modern days, and in such a way I might well have published this page for them as well. It should also stand as testimony that the family was already settled in Britain prior to Victorian days.

Sir Henry Willoughby (1451-1528)Sir Henry Willoughby (knight) – or Sir Henry Willoughby (sheriff). Wikipedia does not ordinarily use lifespan ranges (especially hyphenated ones) for disambiguation of people per WP:NCP. BTW, do we really need the "Sir" honorific? — BarrelProof (talk) 19:48, 26 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I don't object to that alternative. — BarrelProof (talk) 16:05, 3 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
