ex-wife?

unsourced - vandalism, or just under-reported? Little grape (talk) 21:39, 14 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I have changed it back to the original, really needs a reliable source for such a claim. MilborneOne (talk) 16:19, 15 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I have copy edited to the sourced material.SovalValtos (talk) 19:57, 15 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I have spoken to Horsham County Court, and they do not seem to make records of divorce cases available to the public. There is some public evidence that Jennifer Miller-Smith still works for Henry Smith, but he has not declared her as a family member in the register of members interests since 2016. If we had some published statement on their divorce that could be cited, then I suppose this part of the article could be reworded. Recent Runes (talk) 21:41, 5 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I have reworded the biographical section to limit its claims about Smith's relationships to the facts that are supported by the references. i.e. That he was married to Millar-Smith at the time of the news reports. I also found that he removed Millar-Smith from the biography on his own website in 2015, according to the snapshots on the Internet Archive. Recent Runes (talk) 08:06, 6 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Nationality and Borders Bill

[edit]

There are claims that the government will be including a clause proposed by Smith to benefit the Chagos Islanders. This should be followed up to see what the government actually does.
