Hi, I'm making an edit request as suggested by User:Justlettersandnumbers. I tried my best to follow the guidelines of Wikipedia. I would request to editors to review and accept if it meets with your approval. Thank you. --MrDavies (talk) 12:24, 17 July 2018 (UTC)
- MER-C, QEDK, sorry to bother you, but do you see anything familiar here? Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 20:31, 17 July 2018 (UTC)
- Hi, It has been several weeks, since I submitted, but still my edits has not been reviewed. Can anyone please review it? --MrDavies (talk) 15:07, 12 August 2018 (UTC)
- This edit request was indeed reviewed on 17 July 2018 where it was declined. spintendo 23:41, 12 August 2018 (UTC)
- Hi, It has been several weeks, since I submitted, but still my edits has not been reviewed. Can anyone please review it? --MrDavies (talk) 15:07, 12 August 2018 (UTC)
- My apologies for getting back here so late @Justlettersandnumbers: (shifting cities, new laptops, and more). I hope it's resolved now, you can always message me on my talk if you want to engage me further. --QEDK (後 ☕ 桜) 16:20, 18 August 2018 (UTC)
Why my edits are being declined, whereas I clearly disclosed my COI and also admitted I'm PAID (here) (though I'm not financially benefited for Wiki editing) but Wikipedia wants to consider me as a paid editor per their policy and the issue has already been discussed here. Then why my edits are being denied even after I've followed all the guidelines properly. I would request to Wikipedia staff to review my edits and approve. Thanks --MrDavies (talk) 16:25, 4 September 2018 (UTC)
@Eggishorn, Voceditenore, QEDK, and Spintendo: Can you please look into this. Thanks --MrDavies (talk) 16:35, 4 September 2018 (UTC)
- Your edits aren't declined, they're pending review. Please note there's no official restriction on direct editing, but doing so opens up the realm of strict sanctioning should you fail to follow Wikipedia policy. Your best bet is to find active content contributors (who are not related to this particular COI) and have them vet your proposed changes BEFORE you make them. --QEDK (後 ☕ 桜) 16:43, 4 September 2018 (UTC)
- I declined this edit request because although MrDavies appears to be a paid editor, no appropriate disclosure appears to have been made in relation to this page; and also because the proposed content is promotional in intent and in tone, and Wikipedia does not tolerate promotion of any kind. We don't add inappropriate content even if COI guidelines are followed – "Requested edits are subject to the same standards as any other, and editors may decline to act on them". Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 18:30, 4 September 2018 (UTC)
- Right, missed the decline. It's as Justlettersandnumbers says, I haven't gone through it but that's how it is, you can always approach WP:COIN, but first you should familiariaze yourself with the appropriate polices. --QEDK (後 ☕ 桜) 19:41, 4 September 2018 (UTC)
- QEDK, thanks for commenting. I'm so sorry, I had forgotten that I had pinged you and MER-C here for a reason: the troubled history of this page and others relating to members of the same family – this edit of yours, for example. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 20:45, 4 September 2018 (UTC)

A couple of thoughts. I'm also coming to this a bit late. I was in Italy until September 3rd and am still trying to catch up here. Anyhow, a couple of thoughts on the request and its decline. MrDavies has now formally declared his paid-editing status. There's no longer a reason to decline his proposed edits on the basis that he is an undisclosed paid editor. Nor, in my view, on the sole basis that there is a "promotional intent" regardless of the actual content. There is however, a basis for declining on the basis that the content itself is promotional. In my view, the proposed edit as currently written definitely has a promotional "feel" about it. Having said all this, this is a notable artist and the article definitely should be expanded. The question is, who should do it. The waters have already been muddied by previous editors' socking and copyright violations on a whole suite of articles devoted to the Blumenfeld family, including this one. Unfortunately, just about every edit proposed by someone with a COI, even a declared one, is now going to meet with resistance. I would be happy to gradually expand this article (although the finished product will not be quite like the proposed edit above). I could also try to enlist the help of Wikipedia:WikiProject Women in Red. Does that sound like a plan? Voceditenore (talk) 15:53, 5 September 2018 (UTC)
- Since I haven't heard any howls of protest, I've started expanding the article. Note: I will not be including the lengthy list of all her exhibitions as proposed above by MrDavies. That is appropriate for Blumenfeld's website, but not an encyclopedia article. I will mention some of the more notable ones in the "Life and career" section. - Hmm, I seem to have forgotten to add my howl of approval. I did a certain amount of work here after removing the copyvio, but I think I just about exhausted my interest in the topic, and am nothing but pleased to see it taken forward by an expert editor – thank you, VdT! Update
[edit]I have pretty much finished the biography. In coming weeks, I plan to add a "Works" section to include descriptions of some of her more prominent pieces of public art as well as the mediums and techniques she uses. Voceditenore (talk) 15:13, 8 September 2018 (UTC)
