- George D'Urban Drury (usually given as G.D. Drury was collector of Coimbatore from 26 Feb 1828 to 8 February 1832 and was involved in cotton introduction and should not be confused here) - (25 Aug 1841, born in the Madras Presidency, India - 1920, Northampton)
- Some sources give a G. W. Drury who was Collector of the Coimbatore district from 1833 to 1841 see
- George Dominico Drury (also confusingly given as G.D. Drury - 22 July 1793, Harrow - 5 August 1870, Bath) - father of previous, also served in the East India Company in the Madras Presidency - Writer 1815 asst. magistrate Madurai 1823. Asst. magistrate Salem 1826. Collector Tirunelveli, 1832. Commissioner Mysore - 1842. Chief Secretary at Fort St. George 1845. Resigned 1850. see
- Another son of G. Dominico Drury was Charles R. Drury (born 1823, Pondicherry) who was archdeacon in St. George's Cathedral, Madras. see
