[edit]We have tried to edit the old information about staff but it keeps being replaced with ould out of date information. we wrote the following, but it was rejected. We would welcome advice to allow us to clarify the position of Heatland NZ on this platform.
intro
Heartland New Zealand is a New Zealand political party founded in 2020.[1] It is a political party dedicated to representing the interests of rural and provincial New Zealand voters. As a right-wing party, it aligns with the values of businesses and working-class individuals in these regions, striving to address their specific needs and concerns. The party's foundation was driven by a desire to ensure that the voices of these communities are heard and respected within the national political arena.
With an elected committee overseeing its operations, Heartland New Zealand maintains a transparent and accountable leadership structure. The current committee members and their roles can be found on the party's official website, which also provides information on the party's policies, initiatives, and events. By prioritizing the needs of rural and provincial New Zealanders, Heartland New Zealand aims to create a more inclusive and equitable political landscape for all citizens.
History
The part was registered with the electoral commission in July 2020. It had a party list of five people for the 2020 election — tied for the shortest party list with Vision NZ - and Mark Ball was its only electorate candidate.
The party won 914 party votes (0.0% of the total) in the 2020 election, coming last out of the registered parties.[10] Ball came third in Port Waikato, with 8,462 electorate votes.[11]
In the 2023 election, the party is campaigning exclusively for electorate votes in the hopes of creating an overhang.[12]
Ideology
Heartland New Zealand, a political organisation predominantly positioned within the right-wing spectrum, serves as a dedicated advocate for the rural and provincial communities across New Zealand. Recognising the unique challenges and aspirations of these populations, the party's mission is to ensure their voices are heard and their needs addressed within the broader political landscape.
At the core of Heartland New Zealand's policy framework is a strong commitment to the rural and provincial sectors. The party seeks to develop and implement policies that cater specifically to the interests of these communities, striving to enhance their quality of life and promote sustainable growth. Key policy areas include agricultural innovation, infrastructure development, and education reform, all of which are crucial to fostering a thriving rural and provincial landscape.
Additionally, Heartland New Zealand emphasizes the importance of strong regional economies and the role they play in the nation's overall prosperity. The party supports initiatives that bolster local industries and businesses, create job opportunities, and improve access to essential services such as healthcare, rural crime, education, and transportation.

Heartland NZ party
[edit]hi. There are a number of errors, regarding heartlandnz party on your page. The information is erroneously representing the party, as it was posted by from a person with opposite political bias, and dos not represent the facts.
These errors are:
Harry Mowbray backs the party. This is not correct.
Niether Harry, nor anyone of his family, is backing this party. It is operated by an I dependant board, of which Harry Mowbray is not a member.
The party is not led by Mark Ball. This information is outdated, from 2020.
Tge party does not disagree with the parisaccird, or global warming. This is an outright lie. There is nothing on any of the material, or website, which states this. If Wikipedia wisghes to be an independent source of facts, and since it is constantly advertising for donations to operate, you need to consider your content, and keep it accurate. I think this post about heartland was created by someone with opposite views, who does not like the party, in an attempt to discredit it. It is wrong, and needs to be removed, fortwith.
if you email Secretary@heartlandnz.org.nz for further official information, the person party secretary will be able to provide you with factual data about the party.
In NZ, party secretary's are subject to the requirements of the electoral commission, and are audited, by law. They are fair, and transparent representatives of our Electoral system, and operate as an unbiased source of information, to communicate with people, and also, to transparently comy with our electoral laws. - I firmly reject your accusation that the editors involved in the creation of this article are biased. You and the others who have attempted to change the article lately are inherently biased by your very nature of being single-purpose accounts connected to the party, even if the material you try to introduce is not biased. That material is, however, not backed by reliable independent sources. No, emails from party secretaries are not reliable independent sources. If that leaves us in a position of having outdated information, so be it. Go out and get some media attention. It will be more helpful than what you are currently doing. --Pokelova (talk) 03:48, 14 April 2023 (UTC)
- of course you reject my assertion you are biased. That is exactly what a biased person would do, along with a statement to get media attention. From which media? The same one which submitted increect information? Andre Vance. No, we won't need media attention. We will just flag your comments, and have the page removed. - You will fail but you're welcome to try. --Pokelova (talk) 04:43, 14 April 2023 (UTC)
- @Pokelova SPAs are not inherently biased, nor do we need independence for all of these claims.
- @Kiwichippie (and others), we have no interest in listing persons in inaccurate positions in the party. The issue here isn’t a lack of independent sources, but instead one of verifiability. We have a responsibility to ensure that even if information is true, our readers must be able to verify it (ideally by following a link). I hope you understand this responsibility we have.
- If you are associated with the party then it should be straightforward to arrange a press release and post it to Scoop. Alternatively, have the party’s website updated to reflect changes in personnel, party positions, etc. (Both of these are examples of non-independent sources that would meet WP:ABOUTSELF for most basic info.) From there we can make updates to the page. We likely will not make all changes you are apparently demanding now, but we can addend claims made in earlier reliable sources (eg, “In 2020 [something something], but in a 2023 press release the party reversed its previous stances on X, Y and Z”).
- And please work with us. You won’t have the page removed. Threats or hostility here will work against you very quickly. — HTGS (talk) 05:09, 14 April 2023 (UTC)
