Stubbifying
[edit]Following a WP:BRD rationale, I'm going to stubbify this POV page, which from its creation until yesterday moved from the premise that athletes are physically and mentally underdeveloped [1]. —MistyMorn (talk) 13:39, 18 October 2012 (UTC)
Adding: Since the subject matter of the page was primarily medical, I opened a thread at WT:MED, but have yet to receive any feedback. Hence, the BRD stubbification to boldly remove POV content. Thanks in advance for the understanding, —MistyMorn (talk) 13:57, 18 October 2012 (UTC)
- There is so much referenced content here, that it seems like something here needs to be salvaged. I agree from reading the intro that the thesis is sketchy. How might we change it to make it better? ...or merge some of the referenced content into other similar articles? Any thoughts? -- Guðsþegn (talk) 18:51, 18 October 2012 (UTC)
- I appreciate the response - thanks. Truth is, I just don't know. The topic would certainly be a challenging and wide-ranging one, which would need to be approached from a scholarly (rather than popular) sports medicine and epidemiological perspective, based on WP:MEDRS (like ref 15 perhaps [2]). No small task! And one I don't personally feel up to. Although I'm not sure whether my BRD stubbificaction was wickedpedianly appropriate, I didn't feel too many qualms in stubbifying the present version. —MistyMorn (talk) 19:30, 18 October 2012 (UTC)
Copy editing needed
[edit]First, there are errors like this one: "Stress not only refers to physical stress but can also refer to physical stress." Second, a lot of the article focuses specifically on the Female Athlete Triad, which might need its own article. RobertM525 (talk) 20:44, 19 January 2014 (UTC)
