Richard Ball vs Harvey Ball
The smiley article suggests a Richard Ball invented the smiley face. The Harvey Balls page suggests it was Harvey Ball. It can't be both, can it? ElectricRay (talk) 11:24, 17 November 2010 (UTC)
Military time
He retired as a brigadier general and then retired as a colonel? That doesn't make any sense. --Awiseman 16:50, 19 September 2006 (UTC)

- It certainly doesn't. And yet there it is. It must be true -- it says in on wikipedia. Llamabr (talk) 22:04, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
Forrest Gump?
Has anyone else seen that documentary called "Forrest Gump"? It shows how Harvey asked Forrest for inspiration and Mr. Gump schmeared his muddy face on a white T-shirt...giving us the Smiley Face symbol we now know today. Shouldn't this be in the article? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 134.159.111.98 (talk) 10:15, 31 August 2010 (UTC)
