[edit]Harry Tracy was not born in Creston, Washington. He killed himself on a farm not far from there; but Tracy was born in Wisconsin. His real name was (I believe)Harry Sevrin (Severin?). He was NOT a native Northwesterner. After escaping from the "pen" in Oregon, Tracy fled across the Columbia River into Washington state (where he had committed several robberies before), killed his partner (a man named Dave Merrill), hijacked an oyster boat, was involved in the Bothell shootout, crossed the Cascade Mountains into eastern Washington, and stayed for a time at a ranch owned by the Eddy (Eddie?) Brothers. He was reported as being at the ranch by a young teenager who had seen him with the brothers. A local posse surrounded him in a grain field. He was wounded in the leg, and Tracy shot himself in the head, rather than be re-captured.-{{{{i dont know how to comment for my self but just wanted to mention that i have a family histort book with pictures of the gun and my ancestor that shot him with it and this story is true, i dont feel like pulling the book out of the closet but the man that shot him (ancestor) had a last name like lingerian}}}
I am not sure about the birthday. The most sources I found date Harrys birthday to the year 1877 (including historylink.org). I suppose it might be difficult to find a good source about place and date of birth. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.43.102.117 (talk) 18:30, 8 October 2008 (UTC)

Assessment
[edit]With a little clean-up this would be a start class article, need some expansion to make it to B class, primarily in covering his life up to arrest and inprisonment. Aboutmovies (talk) 06:12, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
