Overall: The hook could use some work. It's kinda bland. --evrik (talk) 04:37, 29 September 2020 (UTC)
- Evrik Can you explain how it’s bland so that I can form a new hook? SL93 (talk) 15:14, 29 September 2020 (UTC)
- It's not hooky. Simply a recitation of bland facts. --evrik (talk) 16:34, 29 September 2020 (UTC)
- Evrik That honestly doesn't help me. I guess the question is - why are the facts bland? SL93 (talk) 16:38, 29 September 2020 (UTC)
ALT1 ... that Hargovinddas Kantawala (pictured) spent around 45 years, with the help of two others, collecting and editing poems of medieval Gujarati poets?SL93 (talk) 16:51, 29 September 2020 (UTC)- ALT1a ... that Hargovinddas Kantawala (pictured) spent 45 years collecting and editing poems of medieval Gujarati poets?
- Evrik That honestly doesn't help me. I guess the question is - why are the facts bland? SL93 (talk) 16:38, 29 September 2020 (UTC)
- How do you feel about 1a? --evrik (talk) 16:55, 29 September 2020 (UTC)
- I like that one and it was originally going to be my ALT1, but I wasn't sure if the other two had to be mentioned somehow. It sounds great. SL93 (talk) 16:58, 29 September 2020 (UTC)
- How do you feel about 1a? --evrik (talk) 16:55, 29 September 2020 (UTC)
- Alt1a passed --evrik (talk) 17:42, 29 September 2020 (UTC)
- @SL93: @Evrik: Hello. sorry for posting this so late. But I found an interesting hook for this article. The hook fact is:
- ALT2 ... that Hargovinddas Kantawala (pictured) defeated Mahatma Gandhi in the 1919 Gujarati Sahitya Parishad election and became president of the Parishad?
- Parishad is one of the oldest literary institutions in Gujarat. I haven't written this fact into article. I am going to add it. Thanks. --Gazal world (talk) 09:02, 1 October 2020 (UTC)
- Let me know when you're finished. --evrik (talk) 19:47, 1 October 2020 (UTC)
- Done --Gazal world (talk) 21:55, 1 October 2020 (UTC)
- pass Alt2 as well. --evrik (talk) 23:04, 1 October 2020 (UTC)
- Comment: Perhaps hold for November and Wikipedia Asian Month? --evrik (talk) 02:35, 3 October 2020 (UTC)
- I'm not interested. SL93 (talk) 02:36, 3 October 2020 (UTC)
- Currently the election of Gujarati Sahitya Parishad is going on. The result will be declared on 25 October 2020. If the hook is going to be 'ALT2', it should be featured in DYK on 25 October. Thanks. --Gazal world (talk) 11:38, 3 October 2020 (UTC)
