24hoursofhappy.com is broken

[edit]

The website https://24hoursofhappy.com still shows the title screen but never finishes loading and the video doesn't start. Does anyone know if this will ever be fixed or is it permanently abandoned? Mark Taylor (talk) 23:02, 6 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Happy (Pharrell Williams song)Happy (song) – Likely WP:PRIMARYPDAB over all other "Happy" songs, per a ~5:1 pageview ratio with the seventeen other songs with articles combined and per long-term pageview statistics. JohnCWiesenthal (talk) 03:07, 30 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose the passage at WP:PRIMARYPDAB reads: "Additionally, following a Request for Comment discussion, it was concluded in June 2016 that PDABs should sometimes be used for song and album articles when there are no other standalone articles sharing the same song or album name." There are a whole slew of "Happy" songs with their own standalone articles. Additionally, partially disambiguating this article to just "song" instead of "Pharrell Williams song" would serve no functional benefit - if it's got to be disambiguated either way, why not go the whole way instead of settling for partial? The mentioned quote relates to titles with only one song article (eg. "Basket Case" [song]). It does not relate to standard PDAB practices compiled at WP:PDAB#(song), to which this RM pertains. JohnCWiesenthal (talk) 04:41, 30 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The 5:1 ratio here would be an over 50% lower ratio than any of the other partially disambiguated songs at WP:PDAB#(song), the lowest being 11:1 for Imagine (song). I'll reiterate my statement that partially disambiguating this article would serve no functional benefit. RachelTensions (talk) 04:51, 30 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose: Likely? There is no prize awarded for most ambiguous successful RM result. Including the artist name in the title of an article about a song is not an insult. This 2013 song is one in a long string of "Happy" songs and there will be many more. The dab page already has about 20 articles and another 30 or 40 non-stand-alone entries. — BarrelProof (talk) 05:27, 30 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
