Hamengkubuwana III → Hamengkubuwono III – as per WP:TITLE, considering:
- It's how the Yogyakarta special region official website spells it (http://www.pemda-diy.go.id/)
- It's how both of Indonesia's major English language newspapers, the Jakarta Globe and the Jakarta Post spell it, see [here] and [here]
- Kahin in Nationalism and Revolution in Indonesia, Feith in The Decline of Constitutional Democracy in Indonesia and Jones in Indonesia: the Possible Dream all spell it like that (although honesty compels me to admit that Ricklefs uses the spelling I'm arguing against in A History of Modern Indonesia)
- Hamengkubuwono has 657,000 hits on Google, while Hamengkubuwana has 89,900
- It's consistent with his predecessors and successors (although I made those changes in most cases). Davidelit (Talk) 11:15, 24 March 2012 (UTC)
