[edit]It seems wideley reported that the Hallmark Channel in the UK is owned by Sparrowhawk Entertainment (eg [1]), who also own Movies 24 a new 'made for tv' movies channel. Timb0h 13:12, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
Crown Media?
[edit]I was wondering how Crown Media fit in. From Sparrowhawk Broadcast Services:
- Crown Media International launched its first pay television channel in Belgium, Netherlands, and Luxemburg in 1995. Distribution is now to over 152 countries and reaches 130 million subscribers. 2001 Crown Media International, LLC completed the build out of their Network Operations Center (NOC) and began broadcasting globally from its Greenwood Village, CO location. In April 2005 Crown Media International, LLC was purchased by and became a division of Sparrowhawk Media Ltd. Along with Crown Media International, Sparrowhawk Media owns and operates Sparrowhawk Distribution and Sparrowhawk International Channels. [2] Hakluyt bean 03:45, 3 February 2007 (UTC)

Family Friendly
[edit]Is the Hallmark Channel really family-friendly in every country? When I was in Mexico, I saw some pretty racy stuff on the Hallmark channel. Capmango 06:22, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
- I think this is a good reason to separate other country's versions of Hallmark Channel into other articles. The U.S. channel is shown nationally, but is run by a completely separate company in other countries, showing different programming and having different standards.Cactusjump (talk) 01:17, 3 February 2009 (UTC)

Hallmark Channel (International) → Hallmark Channel (disambiguation) – The main purpose of this article, as it stands today, makes it seem to be a disambiguation page for all other articles in Wikipedia with the title "Hallmark Channel". I propose that this article become a true disambiguation page, and be rewritten to meet the standards of MOS:DAB. Steel1943 (talk) 05:44, 1 February 2013 (UTC)
- Oppose WP:DABCONCEPT , if you want a disambiguation page, feel free to create one that's properly formatted. -- 65.92.180.137 (talk) 06:16, 1 February 2013 (UTC)
- Comment. I just reviewed WP:DABCONCEPT, and with the way it is explained, your point would only be valid if I was proposing to move Hallmark Channel, which I am not. Steel1943 (talk) 06:20, 1 February 2013 (UTC)
- No, it applies to moving this page to "(disambiguation)" since this is not a disambiguation page. A disambiguation can be created from the list of channels here, but this page, as it is now, is not a disambiguation page. Moving it to "(disambiguation)" would mean it becomes a DABCONCEPT page. -- 65.92.180.137 (talk) 09:52, 1 February 2013 (UTC)
- Additional comment. I am proposing that Hallmark Channel (International), the way that it is now, serves as the disambiguation page for the term "Hallmark Channel" (which would have Hallmark Channel as its primary topic), not "Hallmark Channel (International)", which is why I said that your point is not valid. Steel1943 (talk) 06:29, 1 February 2013 (UTC)
- The way its built now is an overview article. Since Hallmark has some control over these channels, it serves as an overview over the Hallmark brand of TV. -- 65.92.180.137 (talk) 09:52, 1 February 2013 (UTC)
- I'll work on this later. At this moment, I no longer have any desire to have this article moved. If anyone disagrees with this, since I am withdrawing my proposal, feel free to repost this on the Wikipedia:Requested moves page. Steel1943 (talk) 10:17, 1 February 2013 (UTC)

Requested move July 2016

The result of the move request was: Moved. I can see the case for getting rid of this and merging any material into the main article, as Andrewa suggests, because this is not really a unified concept. But on this narrow question, it seems fairly clear the "International" should not be caps so closing that way for now. — Amakuru (talk) 14:55, 19 July 2016 (UTC)
Hallmark Channel (International) → Hallmark Channel (international) – Using capital I is not needed. 2A02:C7D:564B:D300:3C1A:53BD:793E:CDDC (talk) 12:37, 9 July 2016 (UTC)
- Oppose. This article should not even exist... it should be merged and redirected to a section of Hallmark Channel, with main links to the articles on the various countries and links to Universal Channel etc as appropriate, and duplicated material removed. Andrewa (talk) 23:01, 17 July 2016 (UTC)
- Support: Article definently sustains itself, and I support the minor retitle. -- Whats new?(talk) 23:24, 17 July 2016 (UTC)
