Its almost a joke
[edit]Hafnium trifluoromethanesulfonate does not exist. Its some fantasy of organic chemists who dont know enough basics. No doubt some goop is generated that organic synthetic chemists pretend is hafnium trifluoromethanesulfonate, I guess because it makes them seem smart (to other organic synthetic chemists), but such a formulation is pretty unlikely. - It appears that even though it is sold, it has not been properly analysed as to what it is. I would add an OR comment that if it really was as the formula suggested it would be volatile and melt at less than 300°C. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 21:55, 28 July 2021 (UTC)
