Orphaned references in HMS Grimsby (M108)
[edit]I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of HMS Grimsby (M108)'s orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
Reference named "transfer":
- From HMS Blyth (M111): @NavyLookout (12 September 2022). "The has been a change of plan for ex-HMS Ramsey and Blyth (decommissioned Aug 2021) and originally thought to have been going to Ukraine" (Tweet). Retrieved 21 October 2022 – via Twitter.
- From Sandown-class minehunter: @NavyLookout (20 October 2022). "Ex-HMS Ramsey and HMS Blyth have been sold to the Romanian Navy" (Tweet). Retrieved 21 October 2022 – via Twitter.
I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT⚡ 22:01, 25 October 2022 (UTC)
16 June 2023: handed over to the Ukrainian Navy
[edit]The ship has been renamed Chernihiv and handed over to Ukraine. She sailed on 16 June 2023 out of UK waters under control of a Ukrainian Navy crew. Ukrainian Naval Ships Chernihiv (ex-HMS Grimsby) and Cherkasy (ex-HMS Shoreham) sail from Rosyth this morning. N2e (talk) 15:40, 16 June 2023 (UTC)
- A better source, but still vague on the handover. Chernihiv sailed out of port in Scotland, but the UK navy and the Ukraine Navy are keeping quiet on the mission, and whether the ships have been formally handed over to Ukraine, or not.Two Ukrainian minesweepers reportedly leave port in Scotland, The New Voice of Ukraine, 16 June 2023. — N2e (talk) 03:25, 19 June 2023 (UTC)
