Guitarist?
[edit]Garvey barely plays a few notes on a couple of songs. Shouldn't it be at least 'occasional guitarist'? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.79.142.249 (talk) 11:42, 16 October 2014 (UTC)

Bury
[edit]Bury may have been in Lancashire when Guy Garvey was born but the cited reference (Guardian article) specifically gives 'Bury, Greater Manchester' as his place of birth, so I have corrected the article to match the cited source. If someone wants to find a source giving 'Bury, Lancashire' as his place of birth I would have no objections on a new reference for that being included and my changes reverted. Riddley (talk) 20:18, 4 February 2010 (UTC) Not much on him , were his parents musical, what nationality are they did that influence his music?????? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.150.247.40 (talk) 19:05, 7 September 2011 (UTC)
Bury has been in Greater Manchester since the year he was born... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2.27.26.129 (talk) 18:40, 11 October 2016 (UTC)
- Yes, Greater Manchester was created on 1 April 1974. But Garvey was born in Bury on 6 March 1974. Martinevans123 (talk) 19:38, 11 October 2016 (UTC) p.s. I've replaced The Guardian source, which said he was born in "Bury, Greater Manchester", with one from rateyourmusic.com whch says "Bury, Lancashire". But I've moved The Guardian source down to support the "Early life" section.
