I have a map labeled entirely in Latin that shows the City of Sipontum (Latin for Siponto)an ancient port town of Apulia in southern Italy. It refers to inlets/bays along the Italian cost as Sinus. The inlet/bay located directly in front of Sipontum is labeled Sinus Urias. The other inlets/bays appear to labeled in Latin with the same port city names as todays maps with this one exception. It is now labeled as Bay of Manfredonia which is named after the modern city of Manfredonia built by King Manfred between 1256–1263. The City is located around 3 km north of Sipontum. The town abandoned after earthquakes in the 13th century.
