Wrong title
[edit]"Church of the Annunciation, also known as the Church of St. Gabriel."
Wrong. Church of St Gabriel, period. The episode it connects to is indeed the Annunciation according to James, but this doesn't change the fact that the dedication is to the Archangel Gabriel and the name is Church of St Gabriel. Arminden (talk) 10:07, 12 April 2023 (UTC)
Poor editing (use of sources, wording)
[edit]pls mind "clarify" tags.
Emmett is quoted as using 1989 booklet of s local Church committee as source for the history of the site. Is it a RS, reliable source? Pringle sure is. Arminden (talk) 10:49, 12 April 2023 (UTC)
Armenian tilework
[edit]- "ancient Armenian tilework"
The source seems to be Wareham. Has it been dated? "Ancient" can mean anything in English. If older than Armenian Genocide (see Armenian ceramics in Jerusalem), is it Armenian per se, or Anatolian in a wider sense (see İznik pottery#İznik and Kütahya)? Arminden (talk) 11:43, 12 April 2023 (UTC)
