Old talk
[edit]The caption under the image: "Grand Kremlin Palace is famous for its obscenely lavish interiors. Even private apartments of tsars were decorated with shameless, unparalleled splendour." is clearly in violation of Wikipedia:Neutral point of view. Some might consider the interior obscenely lavish, other might find it in perfect taste. But Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a forum for debates about what constitutes good or bad taste. And the second sentence "shameless, unparalled splendour" is so POV it's mind-boggling. Unless convincing reason can be given, these parts will be completely striken or changed. - Your generalized allusion to WP:NPOV is not helpful at all. Why do you think the words "shameless" and "obscenely lavish" imply bad taste? The taste or lack thereof is an arbitarary concept. If you contend that the decoration was "obscenely lavish" or "shameless", please state your objections here and don't forget to cite your sources. Otherwise, I'll have to restore your frivolous deletions. Cheers, Ghirla -трёп- 09:18, 21 March 2006 (UTC)
- State my sources? On what? The words are clearly not neutral and have no place in an encyclopedia. As I have stated above, if one find the interiors "obscenely lavish" is a point of view. Some might find it so, others not. However an article has to stay neutral. And if a splendour is "shameless" or "magnificent" is also a point of view. I personally have no problems if someone wants to decorate their homes lavishly, alone the fact that we are having this discussion proves my point that the statements are not neutral. If they were neutral, this wouldn't be a topic of discussion right now. Gryffindor 09:40, 21 March 2006 (UTC)
- I cut the words "obscenely" and "shamless" from the caption. They're obviously statements of opinion. Sumergocognito 04:00, 1 April 2006 (UTC)

Current use
[edit]The article says that the halls are being used for representative occasions. But what about the rest? The first weblink suggests that the palace is the current residence of the President of Russia? This should be made clear. --Ikar.us (talk) 16:16, 27 August 2008 (UTC)
