[edit]

If the Grand Duke Nicholas was not the last surviving influential Romanov, then who do you suggest was? I can think of no other Romanov, after the murder of Tsar Nicholas II, who was remotely as important as Grand Duke Nicholas. Witness the attempts made on his life by the CHEKA. They never bothered with the rest. "Cufflinks" Nicholas called them. Polycarp

You could say that the Dowager Empress Marie may have been a great figure to effectively rally around. Would you agree? SilverChrono (talk) 00:20, 19 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hunting section

[edit]

I replaced the unreferenced section template with a ref improve template, as one citation has been added since Nov 2015, but the section remains problematic. For example:

As the Russian dogs perished in the Revolution of 1917–18, the borzoi of today are descended from gifts he made to European friends before World War I.

I flagged this assertion because it's directly contradicted by the Wikipedia article Borzoi § History. If not sourced, I think it, and perhaps the whole section, should be removed. The one sourced fact in it can be moved elsewhere.Matuko (talk) 03:34, 10 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Российский Император

[edit]

95.54.222.228 (talk) 22:36, 9 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Translation: Hello, I have a question: Why does it say here that Nikolai Nikolaevich was proclaimed Russian Emperor? At the Zemsky sobor, they only proclaimed the Romanovs' rights to the throne, and also sent letters to Maria Feodorovna and Nikolai Nikolaevich. No one has proclaimed the emperor, why does it say here that he is the emperor?Taksen (talk) 06:00, 13 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Because an IP added it in August. I have reverted. DrKay (talk) 07:25, 13 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
