Birthplace of Kos's mother
[edit]I've undone the recent correction of Trieste to Gorizia and Gradisca as the birthplace of RebulaKos's mother. According to the article listed among the references, she was from Trieste.[1] --Eleassar my talk 08:55, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
- We are talking about Gojmir Anton Kos here, not Rebula. I guess it's just a lapsus. Anyway, the historian Bogo Grafenauer in his comment to the collected works of Franc Kos (Ljubljana: Slovenska matica, 1982) writes that Kos was married to a certain Maria Sbuelz who was "a Friulian from Gorizia" (p. 347). Which makes more sense for two reasons: first, very few Friulians lived in Trieste, and second, Kos lived and worked in Gorizia, so it's more logic he met his spouse there. Anyway, I wrote Gorizia and Gradisca and not Gorizia beacuse in Slovene it's unclear, since the same adjective is used for both. Until the issue is settled, I'm gonna change it to "a Friulian from the Austrian Littoral" which covers both data. Viator slovenicus (talk) 14:38, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
- Both sources qualify as reliable, so this is a good decision. It would also be possible to cite both data and attribute them to their respective sources, but as the article is not about Kos's mother, I suppose there is no particular need to be so precise. Thanks for the explanation. --Eleassar my talk 21:35, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
Gojmir Anton Kos and photography
[edit]The article needs a new section: Photographic involvement (or sth similar). Numerous articles have been written recently about the involvement of Gojmir Anton Kos in photography as there was an exhibition of his photographies in November 2010 in the Modern Gallery in Ljubljana.[2] --Eleassar my talk 13:14, 9 November 2010 (UTC)
- I've mentioned the photography, but only in a sentence. Some words should also be said about his work in design (see the cited article). --Eleassar my talk
