[edit]Any chance of a hint as to what the prize is awarded for? I see it's in the "Literary prizes" category, but a few of the recipients are not primarily known for their writing (Pfitzner was a composer, Gropius an architect, Planck a physicist, Bergman is a filmmaker...). --Camembert 17:39, 30 August 2005 (UTC)
The Goethe Prize is not a pure literary award. Needs major revision. (Anthrophilos (talk) 13:49, 6 June 2012 (UTC))
