Both the mother of Galileo, Giulia Ammannai, and the daughter, Maria Celeste, share the same portrait. Since the daughter was a nun, it's most likely that the one in this article is the daughter. Can anyone confirm this and make the necessary changes? Nacaru 00:27, 9 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The painting, which I believe is now owned by the Wellcome Collection, is traditionally identified as portraying Maria Celeste (https://wellcomecollection.org/works/b49dg52a?wellcomeImagesUrl=/indexplus/image/L0031890.html). I have not seen any sources that associate it with Giulia Ammannai, so I agree that it should be removed from this page. Edit: I went ahead and removed the image.
