Brownie Promise Canada 1980s

[edit]

I still have my brownie book and it lists the promise as follows:

Brownie Promise

I promise to do my best: To do my duty to God, the Queen and my country, To help other people every day, Especially those at home. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.142.63.46 (talk) 14:07, 2 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Assessment

[edit]

I have assessed this as Start Class, as it contains more detail and organization than would be expected of a Stub (although it needs proper referencing), and of low importance, as it is a highly specific topic within Canada. Cheers, CP 02:24, 6 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Rangers

[edit]

As of September, the Senior Branches program has been eliminated and replaced with the Ranger program. If I get a chance, I can edit the article to reflect this, but if someone else wants to do so I would encourage it as basically none of the information applies any more. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 205.250.206.168 (talk) 02:13, 3 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Newfoundland

[edit]

"In 1918 Newfoundland's first Guide Company was formed, even though the Province did not become part of Canada until 1949."

What has the last part of that sentence got to do with the price of tea in China? Guiding units were being formed in Dominions and colonies all over the world; they weren't restricted to Canada! Randal Oulton (talk) 17:06, 9 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Disclosing ties

[edit]

Just to be completely above board, I am a Guider and have been a member of GGC for about 15 years (give or take). I will therefore try to limit myself to completely non-controversial factual edits. If you feel I am editing in a biased or worrying way, please let me know and I will limit my edits to the talk page. Thanks! Happysquirrel (talk) 22:05, 3 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
