Special Editions
[edit]I just found out about the new Geronimo Stilton Special Edition: Letters to Geronimo. But is it even true. Or is it a rumour. I can't find anything about it on the Internet. If you have any, absolutely any information about it, please put it in here and on the article. Thanks! Benjamin Stilton 08:16, 14 July 2006 (UTC)
This article needs to be redone, looks like it was written by a 10 year old. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.79.90.102 (talk) 04:04, 16 September 2007 (UTC)

We do not know about Book 28, but we are trying to find anything about the future books. If you have any new information, please immediatly put in in this article and we will be grateful. Also make sure to give us the source from which you found the information so we can make sure it's true. That is all for now, although we are trying to research more and your help is desperatly needed in finding new scoops. Thank you!!! Farewell for now and good luck in researching, finding and reading the Geronimo Stilton Series. (I moved this comment from the article to the talk page. --Zoz (t)
If there is any body who knows what book (book after Geronimo Stilton: Secret Agent) 35- and more is called. I would be very grateful and I'm sure other Wikipedians would also be grateful --70.51.166.193 (talk) 21:07, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
No, it is named something else.

Wedding Crasher
[edit]How come when I search for "Wedding Crasher" it links to this article?

Really a person named "Geronimo Stilton"?
[edit]I suspect the reality of Geronimo Stilton as a real person, though I'm a long time Geronimo fan. First, Stilton is the name of a famous cheese. And Geronimo is also a famous Native American. AdeKaka' Stilton 22:18 (GMT +8) 24th July, 2007

Biography
[edit]I read Mysterioous Cheese Thief which is the latest Geronimo Book. I have read the biography and nothing was removed or changed from the book except that they put a updated picture. Should I remove the part of it that says; Note: The following biography has been taken out of the latest Geronimo Stilton book. Although it is copyright of Scholastic, I have read this on many other fan websites which were not forced to close down. But if you have a problem with this section, you are free to delete it. Thanks
Where did you find the other fan websites? Bookwormreader 17:21, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
Hello I am just going to remove now since nobody is answering. If you have a problem post it —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.95.122.223 (talk) 13:38, 1 September 2007 (UTC) this is muhammad khaizuran bin rashid from singapore[another person speaking]EXCUSE ME!BOOK 34,GERONIMO STLTON,SECRET AGENT IS THE LATEST BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Actually Geronimo Stilton, Secret Agent is not the latest book because it has not came out yet. Geronimo and the Gold Medal Mystery is the latest and it is out and being sold as I have read it 1 week ago. --70.54.20.82 (talk) 13:28, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
Gold Medal Mystery doesn't come out until April, according to Amazon.com. Valley of the Giant Skeletons is the actual latest book. Gabrielkat (talk) 21:28, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
Actually Gold Medal Mystery is the latest book as Amazon is selling it at http://www.amazon.com/Geronimo-Gold-Medal-Mystery-Stilton/dp/0545021332/ref=pd_bbs_sr_5?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1206218537&sr=8-5 Another site is also selling it http://search.barnesandnoble.com/Geronimo-and-the-Gold-Medal-Mystery/Geronimo-Stilton/e/9780545021333 If the book wasn't the latest book they wouldn't be selling it --70.51.166.193 (talk) 20:56, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
But Amazon still says that it will be coming out April 1, 2008, so it hasn't actually been released yet. Gabrielkat (talk) 00:23, 23 March 2008 (UTC)
I added Very Merry Christmas to the article because as proved by Amazon and Target it is the next book. http://www.target.com/Very-Merry-Christmas-Geronimo-Stilton/dp/0545021359 http://www.amazon.com/Very-Merry-Christmas-Geronimo-Stilton/dp/0545021359
Feel free to delete it if you have a problem with it. If possible and you're deleting it can you post a reason in the discussion. --70.54.21.15 (talk) 20:51, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
A New Book?
[edit]Can someone confirm or bring evidence that One Very Wealthy Relative and The Mysterious Rodent Illness are the next Geronimo Stilton book --76.64.1.237 (talk) 10:33, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
I have searched the Internet and have not found any evidence of it being the next books. I don't think you should delete it yet because the person who added it must have got his information from a valid source --76.69.94.167 (talk) 22:34, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
Book by Stilton
[edit]Was Nel Regno della Fantasia (a book about fantasy creatures "by" Stilton) ever published in English? 98.161.19.104 (talk) 01:01, 30 August 2008 (UTC)
yep. "the kingdom of fantasy" in english, 4 books in the series, each around 300 pages. Mrs smartygirl (talk) 00:42, 29 August 2012 (UTC)
First printings
[edit]I just noticed something... on the first printings of earlier Geronimo Stilton books, the "Geronimo Stilton" name and the book's title on the front cover are in embossed print. What was the last book to have the "Geronimo Stilton" name and the book's title embossed on the front cover? The latest book I've seen with that treatment is The Search for Sunken Treasure.
Also, on the first printings of Lost Treasure of the Emerald Eye, not only does it have the "Geronimo Stilton" name and the Lost Treasure of the Emerald Eye title embossed on the front cover (in emerald green, obviously), but the title is in italics on the spine of the book and on the back cover as well. Gabrielkat (talk) 03:20, 5 January 2009 (UTC)
- I'm guessing the very last Geronimo Stilton book to have the "Geronimo Stilton" name and book title embossed on the front cover might have been The Mummy with No Name. Gabrielkat (talk) 21:20, 12 February 2009 (UTC)

Volume 1, Issue 1, January 2004
[edit]This article reports the first version was Feburary 2004. However, I have found the title page dated January 2004, Volume 1, Issue 1. The article is "From the Desk of Geronimo Stilton. It starts, "What you're holding in your paws now is the first issue of The Rodent's Gazette."
We only have the first sheet. The back, which is page 2 has a map of "New Mouse City"
We could scan it what we have if you need it.
Anyhow, hope that helps. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bernard J L (talk • contribs) 02:23, 2 September 2011 (UTC)
Characters Section copyvio?
[edit]The Characters section requires immediate attention. Firstly, it does not acquire a real world perspective and neutral point of view. Next, the information seems to have been copy and pasted directly from a source. I don't know, but this could be in violation of Wikipedia's policy. I'm adding several tags. Please help! Thanks! ---Michaelzeng7 (talk - contribs) 03:26, 27 January 2012 (UTC)
- I would imagime the warning below answers your question whether it's allowed or not. If you know of a source for any of the rest of the text I'd appreciate it if you could add it here then we can make sure that none of that text is re-inserted as well. Dpmuk (talk) 04:08, 27 January 2012 (UTC)
- I'm continuing to research this copyright problem. However, it's interesting to me because there is one website (that is on Wikipedia's blacklist for external links) that actually used the text in question and gave attribution to Wikipedia. ---Michaelzeng7 (talk - contribs) 22:14, 27 January 2012 (UTC)
- Sites will often copy from us and take us at our word that all our content is appropriately licensed, this is how the mirrors work. In cases such as this where the text is identical to an official site I nearly always make the assumption that we've copied from them. However, because of your post I looked into this some more and I am now more certain we've copied from somewhere else as the text was introduced in one go which is always a good sign of a copy paste. That said waybackmachine doesn't show the text on that website until after we've got it but I still think we should err on the side of caution as the publisher has no reason to copy from wikipedia. What's more likely is that the text was copied from another source of the publisher that did exist back then. If you wish to query my removal could I ask that you leave it removed until for now as, due to the possible legal ramifications, it's always best to err on the side of caution when it comes to copyvios. Dpmuk (talk) 22:36, 27 January 2012 (UTC)

- Note that this warning only applies to the text on Geronimo Stilton and Thea Stilton. The text on these two character that was removed CAN NOT be re-added. The text I removed on the other characters was an editorial decision that could be reversed but please see my comments below. Dpmuk (talk) 04:08, 27 January 2012 (UTC)
Removal of the rest of the character section
[edit]I made the decision to remove the rest of the character section for three main reasons:
- It did not make sense with information on the main characters removed (see above)
- It was too in-universe
- It was not of an encyclopaedic standard
Although other editors should feel free to restore this text as part of the WP:BRD cycle I'd urge them to consider whether it is appropriate for an encyclopaedia before doing so. I should also point out that simply cutting and pasting text from other websites is always against policy and most times illegal so please don't try to re-write this section in that way. Finally I should re-iterate that the text on Geronimo Stilton and Thea Stilton CAN NOT be re-added unless we got permission to use the text as described above and I find it highly doubtful that this will happen. Dpmuk (talk)
I'm really confused...
[edit]So I've been looking at the Italian Wikipedia page and amazon's Italian site, to see how the franchise is proceeding. I understand most of it, but on the book covers (the Italian ones, at least) for some "Geronimo Stilton" books there are humans on the front, with no mice. It has the brand and everything, but I have no idea what's going on. Does anybody else? 71.199.9.26 (talk) 02:55, 22 April 2013 (UTC)

Movie concerns
[edit]I am a little worried about the upcoming film as some of the books contain scenes that are deemed unsuitable for the target age group. Hence why some of the books are not translated in English and released in America by Scholastic Publishers. There are wide rumors about the film becoming similar to Fritz the Cat. I have read some of the original unpublished books. They contain slight sexual implications which are still inappropriate for a younger audience. Picaboo3 (talk) 07:06, 7 March 2023 (UTC)
Article draft for list of Geronimo' Stilton books
[edit]I have moved the draft from my userspace to draftspace so that editors may find it more easily and potentially finish it. The goal of the potential article is to list all Geronimo Stilton books and spin-off series, especially the many ones not translated into English. It is located here. Thanks for reading! ❤︎PrincessPandaWiki (talk | contribs) 18:30, 21 May 2023 (UTC)
