Assess : newly added and existing articles, maybe nominate some good B-class articles for GA; independently assess some as A-class, regardless of GA status.
Cleanup : * Sport governing body (this should-be-major article is in a shameful state) * Field hockey (History section needs sources and accurate information - very vague at the moment.) * Standardize Category:American college sports infobox templates to use same font size and spacing. * Sport in the United Kingdom - the Popularity section is incorrect and unsourced. Reliable data is required.
* Fix project template and/or "to do list" Current version causes tables of content to be hidden unless/until reader chooses "show."
Hi! I would recommend that you add translated quotes to the citations in Greek, via |quote= and |trans-quote=. Also, see WP:REFCLUTTER and try to pare down the source list to sites that either prove notability or add factual information to the page. Zorblin (talk) 03:00, 30 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you very much for your remarks. I believe I followed your advice and enhanced my article. What is your opinion? Rena (talk) 00:07, 1 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Definitely improved, but I think you should find more media coverage than just social media posts, like news or magazine articles. That would help the verifiability of the information. Zorblin (talk) 00:11, 1 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
And this is also how you prove notability, by finding independent media coverage, especially ones on print. Once you've found some, you can thin out the references list by removing redundant ones that don't verify or add extra info. Zorblin (talk) 00:13, 1 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Dear Zorbin, thanks again for your quick response. Your experience is much needed. All my sources are news articles from news sites (eg UPI which is most respected and other top greek new sites). Also I have as a reference the written Guinness edition (book). I use youtube (for interviews) or video from facebook when I refer to quotes spoken from the athlete. Isnt that what am I supposed to do? And in case of athletes the most coverage comes from Internet. I have also found much more references but they do not offer anything more than the ones I have. Do you think the notability cannot be proven still in my article? Rena (talk) 11:25, 2 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You can provide translated quotes from the videos too. Check the documentation of Template:Cite AV media or Template:Cite news. I think this person is probably notable enough to warrant an article, but I am not the most experienced editor.
The reviewer said that an important part of notability is articles that focus on him. You've found them, make sure to translate all the titles, and find quotes to prove that these articles have been written primarily about George.
Otherwise, I think it looks fine, aside from some tonal issues. You might want to look at examples of featured articles with good encyclopedic tone. Someone smarter and more experienced than me could probably help you. Good luck! Zorblin (talk) 16:41, 2 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I am still waiting for someone to review my article after almost more than three months. Maybe you could review it? Rena (talk) 21:09, 26 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
