Wikipedia is not a strategy guide or instruction manual. Wikipedia articles should focus on the games themselves, not on how to play them; they should not contain tips, tricks, or cheat codes. That information is available elsewhere (such as on our sister project, Wikibooks), in printed guides and online, and does not belong in an encyclopedia entry. Please do not add your own hints or opinions of the game. Verifiable content about the history, design, and overall description of the game is welcome. If you have questions about whether specific information should be added, ask here first. |

Should I add Category:Video game engines
[edit]Geometry Dash seems to be a video game engine, since it is possible to make fully-fledged video games using the game's platformer mode, wide range of triggers, and more. In fact, it seems like that has already happened, with the level Quarion by the user Zejoant. Should I add the category "Video game engines" to this page? - no. it's definitely not a video game engine. ltbdl☃ (talk) 03:07, 22 September 2024 (UTC)
- Really? Because it seems like it could be used to make a video game BombCraft8 (talk) (contributions) 03:46, 22 September 2024 (UTC)
- no reliable source says it is one. ltbdl☃ (talk) 04:30, 22 September 2024 (UTC)

updates as subheadings?
[edit]so only update 2.2 had a section dedicated to itself. as a geometry dash player i know this was a big update that took 7 years to come out, but it is still an update and it doesn't change everything about the game. also, there are other big updates (everything between 1.9 - 2.2) that didnt get a section dedicated to it. so... acronyms
[edit]Currently, the article does not mention the common abbreviations ‘GD’ or ‘GMD’ anywhere. Within the community, the game is rarely referred to by its full name; instead, the acronyms ‘GD’ or ‘GMD’ are predominantly used. I propose adjusting the opening sentence to read: ‘Geometry Dash (also known as GD or GMD) is a side-scrolling music platforming game series…’ This would better reflect common usage and improve accessibility for readers familiar with the game’s abbreviations.
