BBC News article - but is it Solar Tres?

[edit]

This article seems to go to infuriating lengths to avoid ACTUALLY NAMING the power plant it's about. There can't be many Spanish solar power towers, so it seems very likely to be this one. Still, rather than make the assumption and add possibly incorrect information to the article, I'm leaving the link here in the hope that someone can confirm that it's the same tower. - Ben Ram 09:06, 4 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, Ben, for your diligence. There are so many solar things going on in Spain! I think the article is actually about the PS10 solar power tower. -- Johnfos 10:53, 4 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

The links to the solartres project are not working, and there are duplications of the link. -- Jonas 12:33, 9 September 2007 (UTC)

where is it?

[edit]

this article says "the border between the regions of Andalusia and Extremadura". While this article states it's in Almería, Spain. -- Roidroid 07:18, 29 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Seems to be neither - according to this, the location is west of Écija in Andalusia. Gralo 15:46, 31 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The effective power of the plant

[edit]

The first reference say about 17 MW power. Why is writed 15 MW in the article? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 131.114.253.171 (talk) 15:42, 19 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Gemasolar plant (Solar Tres) is officially commissioned

[edit]

Hi, it seems that the power plant is up and working. Also the plant characteristics need minor updates.--Nubifer (talk) 13:23, 14 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

What does it take to rename an entry?

[edit]

Because if ever there was a need, here it is. Or is it really the PS10 solar power plant that goes by Gemasolar power plant? http://www.physorg.com/news/2011-07-gemasolar-solar-thermal-power-hours.htmlFX (talk) 02:32, 18 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Not much; use the "move" button. But what should it be called? Gemasolar CSP electrical plant? William M. Connolley (talk) 18:39, 19 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Looks like somebody used Gemasolar Thermosolar Plant, which with enough redirects will work just fine.FX (talk) 15:01, 2 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
