The result of the move request was: MOVED Ge Ping to Ge Ping (athlete). (non-admin closure) --- C&C (Coffeeandcrumbs) 15:52, 18 January 2020 (UTC)
– the voice actor, being an internet meme, is way more famous than the athlete. Roy17 (talk) 23:28, 1 January 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose first, Netural on second The "way more famous" voice actor averages only three views/day. Hardly a primary topic with WP:RECENTISM and all. Sinobball (talk) 19:49, 7 January 2020 (UTC)
- When the names are swapped I can guarantee you that the athlete's page is gonna get near zero views https://tools.wmflabs.org/pageviews/?project=en.wikipedia.org&platform=all-access&agent=user&start=2015-07&end=2019-12&pages=Ge_Ping%7CGe_Ping_(voice_actor) .--Roy17 (talk) 02:00, 8 January 2020 (UTC)
- That is clearly untrue. The article views for Ge Ping the high jumper are similar to that of Yang Wenqin – another Chinese female high jumper of similar standing who has no namesakes. Best practice where there are two relatively niche subjects of the same name is to make the main page a disambiguation and add a disambiguation handle. This also helps make sure that incoming links are naturally sorted as any accidental links to the main page will push a notification to the user. SFB 23:30, 16 January 2020 (UTC)

- Oppose first, support second. Per Sinobball I don't think there's a primary topic between the two at present. If after some time it becomes clear that people really are seeking the voice actor a lot more, we can re-evaluate then. — Amakuru (talk) 23:47, 8 January 2020 (UTC)
- Why does the enwp page get so much more views than her Chinese page https://tools.wmflabs.org/pageviews/?project=zh.wikipedia.org&platform=all-access&agent=user&start=2015-07&end=2019-12&pages=%E8%91%9B%E8%90%8D ? Is there any reason to believe a onetime Asian bronze medalist in the 1980s would attract disproportionately high attention in 2010s?--Roy17 (talk) 02:10, 9 January 2020 (UTC)
- There are more people on enwp. I know it's hard to believe, but there are also people interested in sports history, like myself, who have no interest in Internet memes. Sinobball (talk) 17:41, 9 January 2020 (UTC)
- It is hard to believe, especially so when the alleged more people cannot even fix simple factual errors after 12 years.--Roy17 (talk) 19:23, 9 January 2020 (UTC)
- What factual error are you talking about? Sinobball (talk) 19:53, 9 January 2020 (UTC)

- Note to closer: Please move to Ge Ping (athlete) instead of Ge Ping (high jumper) per convention Sinobball (talk) 18:06, 9 January 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose first, support second as per above.--Ortizesp (talk) 18:30, 9 January 2020 (UTC)
- The long-time voice actor clearly fits both aspects of Wikipedia:PRIMARYTOPIC—usage and long-term significance. He was the principal voice actor of 3000 Whys of Blue Cat, one of China's first popular animation series.--Roy17 (talk) 19:23, 9 January 2020 (UTC)
