Service station section makes no sense

[edit]

The service station section seemingly describes a crime where one person drives away with two vehicles. Makes no sense. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1700:1392:4240:15F1:7960:753B:2DF1 (talk) 20:47, 16 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Theft from vehicles

[edit]

I feel the article is too narrow in scope as it only discusses thefts from service stations. It doesn't discuss theft from indidivual vehicles. Although this likely violates the policy on original research, I have taken gasoline from a parked vehicle for use in another vehicle. As a result, I believe that the article may benefit from mentioning that gasoline can be stolen from vehicles as well as service stations. I haven't found any sources to back this up however. Also, the bolded terms in the article indicate theft from a service station specifically. I beleive the terms can benefit from redirects or an article that they redirect to.

question: My brother went into convenient store to buy gas the other day at a prepaid pump. My brother told the attendant the wrong number pump, while my brother went to correct the mistake a thief over heard the conversation and pumped the gas into his car and took off.

My question who owned the gas when it was stolen? The service station or my brother that did not receive the fuel?

The service station claims once the fuel is allocated they don’t care who pumps it.

Isn't diesel fuel subject to theft, just like gasoline? Eugene Wallo (talk) 05:52, 12 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
