Oppose - 3307/3309 refers to both models of the vehicles and both are already in the article GAZ 3309 redirects to this article) so moving only confuses everyone..... –Davey2010Talk13:34, 30 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Davey2010: - Can you proof that wether "3307/3309" was the official right term to describe these 2 models? The should be no problem on redirecting new model link to old model article since 3309 was developed from 3307 as in one family. The "/" should not be using here generally and may confuse editors thought that 3309 was sub-page of 3307 (e.g. "Template/doc"). Thank you. --Gzyeah (talk) 08:54, 3 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

GAZon → GAZ-3307 – This is the name of this series of trucks. As per the naming conventions (compare ru:ГАЗ-3307 and de:GAZ-3307 I believe it should be GAZ-3307 but any version of the truck's actual name works for me. "GAZon" is merely a nickname and as such is inappropriate. Mr.choppers | ✎ 00:36, 5 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Support per nom and per OFFICIALNAME - Both model numbers bring back a good ton of results (3307/3309) whereas "GAZon" brings up everything irrelevant[1]. Makes sense to move tbh. –Davey2010Talk17:19, 5 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Support: I am happy with the proposed move, but I have one comment: GAZ trucks always come with a - between the letters and the numbers. So GAZ-3307 would be fine, GAZ 3307 not. That goes at least for all official paperwork and documents from the factory, see for example the 2016 user manual. Both models (GAZ-3307 and GAZ-3309) are considered different models by the factory, but main difference are only the diesel engine and the longer wheelbase of the GAZ-3309 (for the question of different models or not, see also Automobile model numbering system in the Soviet Union and Russia - if the GAZ-3309 would be only a sub-version of the GAZ-3307, it would be named GAZ-33071 for example). It might make sense in Wp terms to keep both of them in one article for now, also the really clean way would be to have seperate articles for both of them. From my point of view, the best idea would be GAZ-3307 for the title and a redirect from GAZ-3309 to this page. That would be also save in long terms, if somebody wants to write an seperate article for the GAZ-3309 in the future. Regards, --Druschba 4 (talk) 21:23, 5 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Comment - I would also prefer GAZ-3307 - from my understanding the 3309 is merely a diesel-engined version of the 3307 and would fit comfortably on this page. User:Davey2010, do you think I ought to create a new RM proposal with the GAZ-3307 name? Mr.choppers | ✎ 17:56, 6 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
