Copy changes

[edit]
  • , however after 1972 district enrollment began declining — change the comma to a semicolon, add a comma after "however", and move "after 1972" to the end of this block
Done
  • document storage, — remove comma
Done
  • The school offers over two dozen clubs and activities, over 64 varsity sports teams, and began operating a student-run food truck in 2019 — Change the first comma to an "and" and remove the second.
Done
  • The first expansion was in 1993... — Remove the comma after "gymnasium", as "the second in 1998" is not a complete sentence. A ", and" joins two sentences that would otherwise stand alone.
Good to know, thank you
  • all students living within 15 miles (24 km) of the school that they attend — unsure what is meant here, there's a missing verb
I looked at the district policy again, and it doesn't make sense to me what they're saying. So I removed it.

Other notes

[edit]
  • Almost all the references are archived. Consider running IABot again for the rest (presumably these were added after or missed by the bot itself, which I know to happen).
For some reason the bot isn't working, but I'll go back and try something else
  • I'm left wondering if listing the current principal of each school might be the one place where this gets too detailed? (Certainly the assistant principals are too much!) The by-school summaries are good otherwise. Since it's been a while since you worked on this, it might be worth giving a once-over to find any other elements that could be cruft.
I removed them as it get repetitive
  • Copyvio tool catches little more than school names.
Great to hear
  • The images by you are fantastic and great work. They're all appropriately tagged, as is the fair use logo in the infobox. The images really add a sense of place to the page that otherwise would be lost.
Thank you very much!

This is a model article on a school district otherwise. It's almost there. Dekema, I'm putting this on hold to address the copy changes suggested above and anything else you find that would be worth a second look coming back to this after three months. @Sammi Brie: I think I'm done with the article for now, minus taking additional pictures. Do you have other suggestions? dekema (Formerly Buffaboy) (talk) 04:00, 31 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Nope! I just passed it. It looks great. Sammi Brie (she/her • tc) 04:03, 31 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
