Proposed deletion
[edit]The article seems okay to me. I object ti it being deleted. David Kemp 11/06/2024. 2A00:23C5:7681:8201:C443:5CEE:7689:E41D (talk) 10:53, 11 June 2024 (UTC)
- User:Président has commented: "
Fromager d'Affinois is not a "double-cream soft cheese made from cow's milk" at all. It is a registered trademark for about thirty industrial cheeses made from cow's, goat’s, or sheep's milk, and sold under various brands.
" So it seems some corrections are being requested. I'm not sure why any editor could not make these, instead of the article being deleted. Martinevans123 (talk) 11:20, 11 June 2024 (UTC)- Quite. - Martinevans123 suggests "some" corrections on this article Fromager d'Affinois should suffice. If that's so easy, why don't you do it?! As I have indicated in the delation proposal, Fromager d'Affinois isn't a cheese at all, but the industrial registered trademark of the Fromagerie Guilloteau company. They manufacture about different 30 brands of cheese (Our cheeses) The extent of those differences is such that either the article should rewritten from the ground up or broken down in the 30 or so different brands the company makes. - Fromager d'Affinois is a French double-cream soft cheese: which one? They make 11 different kinds of double-cream. And by the way they make 6 different kinds of triple-cream too.
- made from cow's milk: and goat and sheep (Our cheeses)
- Fromager d'Affinois is similar to Brie in production and appearance: absurd. It's like saying that Heinz is similar to ketchup in production and appearance;
- It also has a similar flavour to Brie: which one? I'll take bets any day the Brebicet or the Florette tastes nothing like brie. They also manufacture flavored cheeses, by the way.
- but without the earthy notes of its counterpart: which one?
- Fromager d'Affinois can be made in two weeks: I imagine it is one of cheeses made the the Fromagerie Guilloteau, but which one?
- the cheese has a relatively high fat content of 60%: which one?
- The cheese is made in 4.4 pound (2.0 kilogram) wheels: which one? (Our cheeses), etc. and it goes on and on. While I don't see how this can be redeemed, I don't mind David Kemp, Martinevans123, Necrothesp proving me wrong. Président (talk) 00:06, 17 July 2024 (UTC)
- So rewrite the article instead of raising objections to its existence. You're the one saying it's inaccurate so what's the problem with you changing it? Don't put it on other editors. -- Necrothesp (talk) 07:30, 17 July 2024 (UTC)
- Président, if you believe the solution is deletion, you will need to nominate it for deletion using WP:AFD. ~ GB fan 11:13, 17 July 2024 (UTC)
