This bishopric was a state of the Holy Roman Empire from 1024 until 1528. Does that affect this article? This is a tough one to source. --Stormbay (talk) 22:12, 7 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I do not really see how it would affect the article, but yes, it is true what you say. I would like to note however that both German and Dutch historians regard the bishopric as a Dutch matter. At this moment Wikipedia, or atleast the english wikipedia, there is still alot missing on the specifics of the states of the holy roman empire. As for sources - I could find only one book( actually 3 books as a serie) about the history of the bishopric. It seems the creator of the dutch article used the book.
