merger discussion

[edit]

It would seem that this is the same person as Frederick Cooper (politician), the member of the Queensland Legislative Assembly for Cook "Death of Mr F A Cooper". Evening News. 12 November 1908. --Find bruce (talk) 01:22, 16 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Agree, the Evening News cite is conclusive, also the Qld Parliament website uses a photo with credit to the NSW parliament website Newystats (talk) 00:28, 17 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
The Qld Parliament website provided above explicitly states that Cooper "represented Braidwood in the NSW Legislative Assembly, 20 June 1859 to 14 July 1860". While both NSW and Qld Parliament website states the date of death was 12 November 1908, they each provide different dates of birth (1 August vs 8 August). I am inclined to think the NSW's 1 August was because the date was not input and hence shows the default 1 August. This obituary from ANU also states 8 August. Other than this discrepancy, I think the two articles can merge without issue. Marcnut1996 (talk) 01:58, 17 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
