Plot Synopsis
[edit]This plot synopsis needs extensive work. As detailed as it is, it's overly detailed concerning trivial scenes (like the details and links concerning Spencer's death) while ignoring important plot points in the story. It says that Freddy's return is unexplained, when Freddy actually explained it halfway through the film. It doesn't mention the dream demons at all, which are a major story element, and it says that Freddy's motive for releasing John Doe is to lure fresh victims to Springwood, which isn't even true: it's clearly stated to be luring Maggie back so the barrier can be broken. The plot description refers to several elements as "unexplained" when they actually were explained by the dialogue, and the article gives the impression of script holes where there were none. 74.227.184.15 02:54, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
- Then trim the scenes, and correct any events, but extranous details should not be added. This is a simple movie, and does not need an extensive plot. Halloween (1978 film) doesn't have an extensive plot, and it is featured. You don't have to add 2k characters just to correct something. BIGNOLE (Contact me) 03:14, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
- Point taken. I've tried to clarify a few plot elements, but without being too extraneous this time.74.227.184.15 03:40, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
- I've gone through and reworded some things and removed some peacock terms, which I don't believe were your doing anyway. I removed the details of Spencer and Carlos' deaths, as the preceding sentence already established that they were killed, so how they died became extraneous. Though, I clarified that they fell asleep before they died. BIGNOLE (Contact me) 03:53, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
Contest to be a Cast Member of this movie
[edit]Does anyone else remember this, anyone know who won it? If so, could you put it in? The snare (talk) 06:06, 22 June 2012 (UTC)
Song?
[edit]Wasn't there a song called "Freddy's dead" ? I think it was made in the 80's or 70's. -Yancyfry 21:56, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
Yes, actually. It's in the closing Credits of this movie-they play it The snare (talk) 06:06, 22 June 2012 (UTC)
Discussion about cast
[edit]I'm holding a discussion at Talk:A Nightmare on Elm Street (franchise)#Cast in regards to the cast list for the film series as a whole (and the comics if need be). BIGNOLE (Contact me) 02:13, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
Freddy
[edit]Is Freddy portrayed by Robert Englund also in scenes, where freddy's face isn't burnt? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.197.87.181 (talk) 17:02, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah, that's him. Well, the adult ones, obviously, not the young ones!76.226.237.215 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 21:59, 26 October 2009 (UTC).
Set in the year 1999? Huh?
[edit]The title cards say "Ten Years From Now" not "Ten Years From The Last Movie". Doesn't that put the movie in the year 2001?76.226.237.215 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 22:02, 26 October 2009 (UTC).
Springwood town limits
[edit]I always thought it was just because Joe Doe woke up that Freddy couldn't get to him. Alice mentions that running from him won't help, lots of people would have left Springwood if it did! Plus, later in the movie, Freddy plans to expand his killings beyond Springwood, if he couldn't go past the town limits, obviously, he couldn't do this.
The poster
[edit]The poster given for the page is fan-made and was never in theaters. I know, because I made the poster. Mathew Peak did create that artwork but New Line did not use it.
This is the theatrical poster for the movie: http://wrongsideoftheart.com/wp-content/gallery/posters-n/nightmare_on_elm_street_6_poster_02.jpg
