This should be a disambiguation page

[edit]

There are two articles under this heading: a highly-notable internet forum that is of interest to a large number of people, and an indie-rock band that has only recently passed the notability test. While there is a strong argument for making the forum "The Fray" and give the band under {{otheruses}}, the disambiguation page seemed like a reasonable compromise. I see no reason other than band-promotion for the recent change. Robert A.West (Talk) 21:46, 23 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I would make the forum primary, especially since Slate is widely distributed and the band is local; but I'll support this compromise. Septentrionalis 21:59, 23 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The Fray isn't local anymore. They have succeed at gainging a ton of national exposure.

before the histories get any more complicated, rather than waiting for the conclusion of the move request discussion. And FWIW, I think The Fray should remain the disambig page for the two uses. 24.18.215.132 00:26, 25 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fray

[edit]

Is "fray" meaning "friar" (which I have not met except in the Brazilian brand Fray Bentos) actually an English word, or simply one used in Spanish and Portuguese? If the latter, it does not belong in the English wikipedia. 86.144.98.187 (talk) 16:23, 21 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
