Revert
[edit]I reverted this diff because it seemed very suspicious. Badly formatted and other problems. I just wanted to post this to see if anyone found it usable... and not copyvio. gren グレン ? 07:27, 24 January 2006 (UTC)
- It needs work, but I don't know why it would be suspicious. It is said that Hudson County politicians are so crooked that when they die, you don't bury them with a shovel. You screw them directly into the ground. - Nunh-huh 07:34, 24 January 2006 (UTC)
I just read "The Last Three Miles: Politics, Murder, and the Construction of America's First Superhighway" and it confirms almost everything from that diff. I'm going to restore it, since it doesn't appear to be a copyvio, and tag it for wikification. --NE2 05:45, 23 September 2007 (UTC)
Rewrite
[edit]This article is in need of a major rewrite. I have gotten out my prized copy of The Powerticians, and will trying to clean this article up. Such a widely noted and written about subject should have a far better article here. I hope some others editors will join in. Jim Miller (talk) 20:17, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry I am late getting here :-), but figured better late than ever. I started breaking out some of the sections – rewriting and providing sources. What else to you need done. ShoesssS Talk 15:35, 18 June 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for the help. I haven't had a chance to look at it thoroughly, but my first thought is that with your cleanup of the Political career section, the labor sub-section should either br moved into a better spot in the timeline, or be broken out to it's own section with a main article tag pointing to Pulaski Skyway#Labor issues. I just got an Amazon delivery with the Leinwand and Erie books. I expect the Van Devander book next week. I will probably add more info and cites over the weekend. Which Two Departments?
[edit]This sentence needs clarification:
"... as public safety commissioner (a post he held throughout his entire tenure), he controlled the two departments with the most patronage appointments in the city."
Which two departments?

This Article Should be High Importance as a New Jersey topic
[edit]Frank Hague dominated New Jersey politics for over 25 years. I think this article should be categorized as having high-importance as a New Jersey topic, not mid-importance. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ukes (talk • contribs) 20:03, 8 November 2020 (UTC)
