"Le Petit Homme et la noix" instrumental
[edit]I have watched the first show of Sept Villes, Une Chanson and I remember there not being an instrumental version of "Le Petit Homme et la noix". Infact, I remember it being the only song in the entire series which was only ever performed once (by Jacqueline Roland). I want to make sure I'm not mistaken before I edit this page. So please tell me if I'm wrong, and if so then at what point in the programme is the instrumental version of "Le Petit Homme et la noix" performed? Spleennn (talk) 18:52, 27 October 2024 (UTC)
- Hi! After the performance of "Quand ton amour sera fini" by Claudine Céréda and Paul Mattei, Robert Beauvais briefly talks to the regional jury of Lyon. Just after that, into about 15 minutes into the show, Robert Beauvais announces that the chorus of "Le Petit Homme et la noix" will be played by Paul Durand's orchestra, in "musicbox style." The camera then cuts to a xylophone which plays the chorus. It only lasts about fifteen seconds and is surely one of the shortest second versions of any song presented in the program. But that was not unusual: Since they had only 45 minutes for 5 songs in two versions plus the voting, the second version often, when played by the orchestra, was rather short, and served, as Beauvais said in one of the heats, only to "remettre la chanson à l'oreille" (to put back the song in the viewers/jurors' ears). --EurovisionLibrarian (talk) 19:46, 27 October 2024 (UTC)
- Ah, It being only fiften seconds long will be the reason I missed it. Thank you Spleennn (talk) 20:01, 27 October 2024 (UTC)
