Fractal Noise → Fractal Noise (novel) – Quite Frankly, this should be at Fractal Noise (novel) instead of Fractal Noise. There is a Fractal noise (lower case n) and is a totally different topic. Anyone who searches for "fractal noise" probably is searching for the scientific content isntead of a book. I moved it back, but it got reverted. Now, I suggest it be moved back and then some disambiguation page created. Ebbedlila (talk) 01:16, 1 June 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose per WP:DIFFCAPS. Fractal noise and Fractal Noise are separate subjects. There is no need for a disambiguation page. Hatnotes suffice. Οἶδα (talk) 02:18, 1 June 2023 (UTC)
- Support as a third meaning Fractal Noise is also part of Adobe Flash In ictu oculi (talk) 12:56, 1 June 2023 (UTC)
- How on earth does an obscure Adobe Flash parameter factor into this move discussion? What an unfathomable reach. These are small details. Οἶδα (talk) 13:45, 1 June 2023 (UTC)
- How on earth? By clicking the link and looking in GBooks. Have you never seen an RM discussion where editors check GBooks. What is so unfathomable. Mind your language please. In ictu oculi (talk) 21:13, 1 June 2023 (UTC)
- I am sorry if you took offense to my verbiage, but I do believe it is an incredible reach to suggest we disambiguate an article title because you scoured GBooks and found an Adobe software setting with the same name. The only legitimate topic to disambiguate from is the noise spectrum term (also know as fractional), which is merely a lesser term synonymous with a different title where an article exists. WP:DIFFCAPS exists for a reason, and this is a rather smooth application of it. Οἶδα (talk) 22:45, 3 June 2023 (UTC)

- Oppose per Οἶδα. Also, anyone who searches "fractal noise" gets redirected to Fractal noise. It's unlikely that anyone searching for the scientific concept would capitalize the N and be redirected to this page.
