Working conditions during Covid?

[edit]

I am new editor; I was a bit reticent to make a change to a major article but I gave it a shot by adding recent news on a covid lock-down with two supporting sources. Perhaps I will do some if the news or sources speak to working conditions during covid; or the arbitrage of labor or labor standards. I just wanted to get some input and thoughts from others so I don't do anything not allowed or too radical.. Any idea? Flibbertigibbets (talk) 11:58, 21 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

My only comment on that is you using common sense. There's nothing inherently banned for inclusion here, but we aren't a news outlet (there is Wikinews), so too much focus on COVID lockdowns may move the article into the recentism area. Both COVID and the Russian invasion of Ukraine made difficult to pass judgement on that.
I tend to not edit much this article because there are some difficult subjects around it, so good luck.
For future reference, you don't need to indent your comment if you open the conversation. Regards. --Urbanoc (talk) 12:19, 21 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks.. never knew much about Spotify before a a new netflix show, nor did I know about Joe Rogan; I think reading it that the Joe Rogan entry on Spotify would be an example of "recentism." Again, I did not feel confident enough to edit a popular entry without bench checking whether or not I was making quality edits. Thanks... Flibbertigibbets (talk) 22:59, 21 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Please add information about the ongoing protests.[1] --190.99.107.218 (talk) 15:08, 24 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I added one sentence to the article with a source. I do think the current news is notable and will have historical relevance going forward. I sent you a note on your talk page. T At present working conditions under covid is an ongoing factual reality. The change introduced may or may not hold, and that is totally OK; hindsight will eventually provide clarity. added multiple sources - which may support the historic notability of the event. PBS and NYT. Flibbertigibbets (talk) 15:54, 24 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
