Photo set from Flickr
[edit]Flickr has at least two photo sets featuring this wind farm:
- http://www.flickr.com/photos/glouis/sets/72157606797431199/
I might get around to uploading some of these photos to Commons. My notes are in:

- If anyone else wants to upload these photos, please categorize them into commons:Category:Fowler Ridge Wind Farm and commons:Category:Benton County, Indiana. --Teratornis (talk) 00:06, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
- I uploaded one of the photo sets that had the proper licensing. See Commons:Category:Fowler Ridge Wind Farm. --Teratornis (talk) 02:54, 26 June 2009 (UTC)
Turbine Picture
[edit]I was just on a BP-guided tour of Fowler Ridge Wind Farm yesterday. They operate Vestas 1.65 MW and Clipper 2.5 MW wind turbines. The Clipper nacelle is very stylish and unique and clearly is not the one in the Wikipedia picture. The nacelle in the picture looks much more like the Vestas turbine nacelle, but lacks the very distinctive radiator on the top rear of the nacelle. I looked at some other pictures. There are pictures of Vestas turbines being installed with the radiator apparent, but there are other picture without the radiator. Every Vestas I saw yesterday had a radiator, so either some were installed without and later were added, or some turbines went up, had problems, and were replaced. That leads to the question as to whether or not the picture on Wikipedia is an accurate representation of the turbines as they exist today? Phase II has just started and they are putting up GE 1.5 MW turbines, but they have just started and the Wikipedia picture could not be of those since they are just starting to go up. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.4.3.38 (talk) 19:20, 23 July 2009 (UTC)
- The wind turbines in File:Benton County wind turbines.png may actually be from the Goodland I Wind Farm, also in Benton County, which features GE Energy wind turbines. I suspect as much because of the photo date, from August 2008, whereas phase I of Fowler Ridge came online in the spring of 2009. Compare to other photos of GE Energy wind turbines in Commons:Category:GE Energy. A problem with many wind turbine photos on Commons is that they come from various uploaders who may not know much about wind turbines. They may just be ordinary people on vacation who see a wind turbine and upload a photo, omitting such information as the precise location, the exact name of the wind farm, the make and model of wind turbine, etc. Other editors may come along later and try to piece together various clues and published sources to identify the wind turbines. This is often easiest with Vestas wind turbines, because the nacelles usually have the Vestas logo featured quite visibly. See Commons:Category:Vestas Wind Systems. --Teratornis (talk) 21:51, 22 August 2009 (UTC)
"Visible on both sides of I65"
[edit]When I was up there almost a year ago there was a different wind farm going up to the east of I65. Fowler Ridge was quite a ways west of I65. The new phase going in was actually going in West of the recently completed phase (with GEs) and not moving towards I65. Therefore, the statement that the Fowler Ridge Wind Farm is visible on both sides of I65 is probably not correct. Someone with more confidence should probably edit the statement out or at least clarify what wind farms are visible from I65 to avoid confusion. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.4.3.38 (talk) 15:40, 16 June 2010 (UTC)

Ownership information conflicts
[edit]In the article, it says the wind farm "was sold in 2007 to BP and Dominion Resources" In the information box to the right of the article it says "Owner(s) BP (50%) American Electric Power (50%)."
Dominion Resources is now Dominion Energy and I believe DE is now the half owner 158.106.52.10 (talk) 20:26, 1 December 2022 (UTC)
