FoutaFouta horse – The term "Fouta" is the French spelling for a Fula toponym (Fuuta), in this case short for Futa Toro, where this breed evidently originates. "Fouta" should either be a disambiguation page or redirect to another disambiguation page (Futa or a new page specific to various uses of the toponym). "Fouta horse" follows the style observed in Category:Horse breeds.--A12n (talk) 05:23, 9 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose: No need until there is another article to disambiguate. Per WP:USEENGLISH, I highly doubt that an en.wiki article will use the French name, and there already exists an article on Futa Toro, so at most, a hatnote could cover it. We only add "horse" to a title when there is a need to clarify that we aren't talking about other articles; we have other articles like Selle Francias or Trakehner where we don't add "horse". The same as fleuve?

[edit]

Fleuve redirects here, but sv:Fleuvehäst and sv:Foutahäst indicate they are separate breeds. Should Fleuve be un-redirected? Plrk (talk) 14:01, 7 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think so; we have too little on any of them and one is derived from the other. Montanabw(talk) 07:57, 9 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Now done – please see Fleuve and M'Bayar. There's not much to say about this one, though; the sources seem to think it's a hybrid, not a breed as such. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 21:08, 18 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Works for me. Montanabw(talk) 23:47, 21 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
