Several sources say that Henry Clay Frick bought the land surrounding the Blockhouse in 1902. However, on this map from 1900, all of the land around the Blockhouse is already labeled as being owned by Frick. I'm inclined to trust the map, which means that the secondary sources are all probably reproducing an error made by some historian of an earlier generation. The issue is bugging me, but I haven't had the time to buckle down and really research it. —Bill Price (nyb) 15:20, 24 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

That map must be a few years later than 1900. Notice that Point Alley and Fort Street are labeled "Vacated, 1902, to H.C. Frick." —Bkell (talk) 22:27, 4 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
