ending theme
[edit]is it just me, or was the ending theme used in an earlier (95-ish) forensics show called "medical detectives"? because it sure sounds like it, and the show seems to have the same sort of style to it as well. The above comment was made by me, I just forgot to sign in.Alphamone 10:04, 27 November 2006 (UTC)
Never mind...I noticed that my contribution was already made by others in the next section. Steve Marethyu (talk) 02:41, 5 July 2016 (UTC)
Forensic Files = Medical Detectives
[edit]Medical Detectives became Forensic Files when it began airing on CourtTV. internationally, except Canada, it is still know as Medical Detectives. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 72.78.41.22 (talk) 18:42, 12 April 2007 (UTC).
No, it's not medical detectives. Medical Detectives: Case Studies in Forensic Science is a seperate show produced by the discovery channel. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 66.190.178.41 (talk) 22:27, August 22, 2007 (UTC)
You're confusing 2 different shows. The show that Discovery started was called "The New Detectives: Case Studies In Forensic Science". The original title of Forensic Files was (and in some countries still is) "Medical Detectives". —Preceding unsigned comment added by MisterBill (talk • contribs) 19:12, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
Yes, this needs to be sorted out. 99.250.21.130 (talk) 19:45, 19 October 2008 (UTC)
Well, I think it's sorted.
Fair use rationale for Image:ForensicFilesTitleCard.jpg
[edit]Image:ForensicFilesTitleCard.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

I'd like to upload a new image for this show (complete w/ Fair Use rationale). The current image references "CourtTV", a network that has not existed for a few years now. The image I'd like to upload is the more commonly used 'title card' type used on Facebook pages, fanpages, and at one point their own website. It's thumbnail size. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bflood (talk • contribs) 17:24, 20 April 2011 (UTC)
External links modified
[edit]Hello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to 2 external links on Forensic Files. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}}
after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}}

"Weird Science"
[edit]I am not sure that this title is really appropriate or clear given the information contained in the section. The title isn't explained or mentioned in the section. I think it should be renamed to better describe the overall purpose or mission of the show, which is what the section seems to be about.Steve Marethyu (talk) 02:38, 5 July 2016 (UTC)
That bothered me too. Fixed it. 26 March 2019 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 165.225.0.89 (talk) 15:24, 26 March 2019 (UTC)
A new episode out of thin air?
[edit]FIOS has re-broadcast "See No Evil" on 11/26/2016 and previously on 3/11/2016. This episode tells the case of serial "eyeball killer" Charles Albright : [[1]] Original air date is listed in FIOS program guide as 3/5/2016. The broadcast carries the in-broadcast FF watermark (lower right corner) Peter Thomas is not the narrator although listed as such (as "Cast") From time-to-time other "new episodes" seem to pop up. Any clues? --JCN9801 (talk) 14:25, 28 November 2016 (UTC)
Netflix showings
[edit]anyone have any info on the current state of the series on Netflix, i think it needs adding to the article that they are on their but also a mention should be given to the strange way they are broadcast
the episodes are not in series order but are organised into 9 collections with episodes from each series mixed up with seemingly no particular rhyme, reason or ordering that i can see, .
..they dont even follow the same standard as the collection DVDs as each collection has at between 38 and 48 episodes in them (the DVDs only have 12)
nor does each collection represent a particular season because of not only the mixed up nature but also the fact that many seasons of Forensic Files rarely get above 20 episodes (only 3 seasons reach over this with 2 going over 40)
a small example of this is as follows
Collection 1 Episode 12: (Sharper Image) is actually Season 12 Episode 1 C1/E13 (Wheel of Misfortune) = S12/E4 C1/E14 (The Day the Music Died) = S12/E7
and it gets worse than this with Episode 1 of collection 12 being from season 7
any info here is appreciated

[edit]Theme Music has no source for its claims and thus will have to be removed at this time. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ednamode5700 (talk • contribs) 01:26, 2 December 2018 (UTC)
