Merging in Food Safety Enhancement Act
[edit]- The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section. A summary of the conclusions reached follows.
- Consensus is to merge. (see also discussion at Talk:Food Safety Enhancement Act — Keithbob • Talk • 16:53, 4 April 2014 (UTC)
The Food Safety Enhancement Act was the House bill (H.R. 2749) that, it appears, became the Food Safety and Modernization Act. Since the Food Safety and Modernization Act Article seems stronger, I would feed the Food Safety Enhancement Act into this article Bcmuirhead (talk) 07:13, 12 February 2011 (UTC)
- I concur with the merge, but I believe the tags might have been misplaced. I'll have a look at it soon. Ebacci EN (talk) 16:40, 1 September 2011 (UTC)

I changed the opening paragraph’s title. It was titled “Food safety Enhancement Act of 2010” when the more recent title of the bill is “Food Safety and Modernization Act of 2010”.Moriah25 (talk) 16:16, 21 November 2011 (UTC)Moriah25
To Bravura1: I thought you made some good contributions to the Food Safety and Modernization Act page on Wikipedia and I enjoyed reading the wiki page on the act.. However, I noticed on Monday they removed your section on Other Countries. If you are not able to get that back on the page, I noticed they had a page for listing food safety organizations (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_food_safety_organisations) which did not have any information on Singapore and Mauritus. They had New Zealand and it contained a link to a wiki page about New Zealand Food Saftey Organization which had some information. However, the link from that page to the Food Act of 1981 (NZ) led to a page where an article that needed to be created. Basically, I don’t know if you could start that page and a page for Singapore and the Mauritas or not. If not, there were very few countries listed on the Food Safety Organizations and none for Africa at all. If you couldn’t add all your info for those countries, maybe you could try to expand that list.
As mentioned earlier, I thought you made some good contributions to the Inspections and Compliance and Components of the Law information on the page. If you need some more to contribute on this site (instead of doing the other countries), I think you could add some paragraphs on Title 1 Section 108 and 109 on National Agriculture and food safety defense and about Food and Agricultural Coordinating councils ( they are only indirectly mentioned). Anyways you have done a much better job than I have and I hope you can get those removed countries issued resolved. If by any chance you were wanting to discuss it further , you can email me at jcampbe1@ggc.edu. Thank you, John CampbellJcampbe1ggc (talk) 20:33, 25 April 2012 (UTC)
I Came to the site to hear about the controversy. There is no section on this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 134.204.228.36 (talk) 13:27, 7 December 2012 (UTC)
Note regarding Merge on April 4, 2014
[edit]Today I acted on an old discussion from 2011 to merge Food Safety Enhancement Act to Food Safety and Modernization Act. One discussion is shown on the source page's talk page and the other half of the merge discussion can be seen at the top of this page. However, because the Food Safety and Modernization article had already been merged into the FDA Food Safety Modernization Act article I have move the content from Food Safety Enhancement Act to there.-- — Keithbob • Talk • 17:26, 4 April 2014 (UTC)
